Anyway, what's wrong with wanting things to be right? We can complain about gameplay and other small glitches, but we have to stop at equipment detail?

Nothing is wrong with that

But saying things like you’re baffled they can’t get some minutiae right or calling devs lazy when you have zero idea why or what constraints they are working with is quite frankly ridiculous. We don’t know how things are licensed, what the approval processes are, the capabilities of the tools or the system constraints they are working with, but we’re going to start talking about them as if we do?

That stuff is why the devs stopped coming here. Too many people saying ridiculous things and telling them how to do their jobs as if they have any idea what those jobs entail. Well that and the threats against them and their families and I wish I was joking.

That's ridiculous to threaten anyone over a video game. I hope you're joking. I don't think most of us act like we know how to do their job and what it requires. I just think The Show has been far and away the best sports title out there for years and is as close to perfection as a sports game can get so we get spoiled and just want that little bit extra that we think the devs can achieve.

It sucks, the MLBTS forums used to be the most tranquil, helpful, full of engagement and information forums at OS. Something changed, I suspect it came about when a new group of gamers came along and found us once DD was introduced to the game.

That and the guys who want to nitpick as much as possible in an overblown or hyperbolic fashion because they think that gives them clout.

It sucks, the MLBTS forums used to be the most tranquil, helpful, full of engagement and information forums at OS. Something changed, I suspect it came about when a new group of gamers came along and found us once DD was introduced to the game.

That and the guys who want to nitpick as much as possible in an overblown or hyperbolic fashion because they think that gives them clout.

This didn’t read like an agenda based reply until you slid that DD dig in. I actually find most of the vitriol in this sub forum still comes from “die hard” sim players who feel disenfranchised.

In reality, this is a gaming forum and none of this is quite that serious. That isn’t to discredit any one person’s opinion or passion for this game. The irony of attacking others for, attacking others, I struggle with.

Indeed. That said, with the invent of social media namely Twitter, and other outlets like YouTube have redirected a lot of that crowd away from here and I'm ok with it.
