I just want the new balance cleats to be right and not have the same Nike cleats from 3 years ago.

Which no one as issue with. It's things like being baffled, or calling devs lazy that upset people. Especially when you have zero idea what's happening behind the scenes or what the processes are. I don't know if you ever tried to license something from a major brand but it takes years and lots of legal work, with a lot of stipulations and caveats that all need to be reviewed. That's before it goes through their vetting process once you've created something.

I'm sure for SDS being a major brand it's streamlined but it's still not as simple as people seem to think it is and rarely if ever has anything to do with laziness.

That doesn't even touch on production schedule and project management, etc which is a whole other piece of dev work.

People who don't know what they don't know are usually the first to toss insults and hyberbole and developers for whatever reason. It's not the clout gainer or flex these people seem to think it is. Although it is funny when they act offended when called out on it.

      We’ll just agree to disagree.

Disagree on what that the devs are or aren't lazy? Or that the process is more difficult than you think?

Not calling anyone out, but it’s interesting to see the difference in the OS MLBTS forum and other forums. There’s a thread every year in the NBA 2K forum entirely about the shoes in NBA 2K. And you know what’s different? The users in that forum accept that some people care about the authenticity of the sneakers. There’s no cheeky attacks on someone for pointing out the differences in the authentic models vs the in game models. It always comes across to me as more petty from the users who say equipment doesn’t matter as opposed to the users who genuinely attempt to constructively criticize MLBTS for the obvious issues that are present with equipment and color blocking every single year. Fwiw, I think the New Balance cleats look okay but not great. I absolutely dislike that the previous model with real logo color blocking was removed. I think overall since the implementation of real equipment brands in ‘14 with the Nike undershirt, SDS has done a good job with the amount of equipment included. However, they have done a very poor job with realistic likenesses of the equipment. There may not be one single piece of equipment in the game with accurate color blocking.

I don’t care if it’s because they’re lazy, because of a lack of attention to detail or because it’s a technical issue.

The new balance cleats that were in before were fine (looked great and logo color changed) they take this out and then give us this half *** updated model. It’s sad. It needs fixed.

Also, can we please get real shoe laces? Every cleat model in the game is unlaced. Little thing, but would add to immersion greatly.

I think that the maximum detail that can be obtained while keeping game performance and features optimal is the ideal end game. That said how does getting real shoe laces add to immersion?

I’m calling BS on disingenuous posts like this. No one calls the developers lazy. People with an agenda who happen to constantly praise the developers use this as a trope to make constructive criticism seem invalid. Literally NO ONE attacks the developers at SDS. In fact, nearly everyone who provides criticism also provides appreciation of the work of the developers. So sick of seeing these accusatory posts. YES WE KNOW THE DEVELOPERS WORK OVERTIME AND SLEEP AT THE OFFICE. No need to continuously use that as some attempt to end a constructive discussion.

Regardless of everyone's opinions, I think we should get back on topic here.

The Nike Diamond Elite chest protector does not have shoulder pads that extend with straps. They are attached to the chest protector itself.

Remember when we had the option to have shoulder pads or not? Oh yeah, SDS took that away as well.

I’ve also noticed a lot of catchers that wear nike and all star are wearing mostly grey or white gear which is irrelevant to us because we can’t change the logo color on the catchers gear smh.

I’m still not retracting my statement either.

Are you an undercover Dev bro? If so just fix the stuff and I’ll give you your flowers and retract my statement.
