I agree completely. The way they had it, it messed with progression/regression way too much because good players would sit on the bench. Which in turn impacted free agency and everything else.

and, moo point now, if you do happen to take a pitcher out of your rotation, you can still edit his role in franchise from SP to RP anywaysOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Exactly. You could edit to improve morale. You could also change location as well.Funkycorm

However if runners are acknowledged by the trail runner or lead runner or batter on deck as they cross the plate in the context of a fully played out game. You heard it here first I would purchase 23 it's basic presentation that has been missing from the game for years. So don't tout on stream that you have added thousands of animations each year and leave out some of the most basic ones in a baseball game. But as of now it looks like I'll chill with 22 and wait for the end of season discount on 23. I have learned my lesson.
I wish that there were more post here that called out attention (in a respectable way) the obvious and maybe SDS would address these issues in the game. Instead during the stream they say they heard the feedback. I'm like from where?
I'm not going to start with defense and all of the things that you cannot do as a user controlled infielder that you should be able to do. Instead I'll go with a clear cut obvious one. Someone tell someone to fix those 8bit umpire shoes they are horrific. Add a texture or something.
I just can't watch this stream and hear them highlight the improvements when some of these were mentioned in 22. For example steal 10 bases in a row in a game with a CAP in 22. You will not hear any announcements from the announcers or talk about the accomplishment further down the line in Franchise, Heck the inside the show does not even work properly and skips over your selected teams progress. But will announce details about every other team! This was a presentation feature they touted in 22(Announcers talk about your players progress).
So I am saying they uptalk the features on their twitch stream to get people to buy the game. But its not full translating until the following year.Proud member of the 0.04%Comment

It also punished you for being a good GM and getting players on team-friendly deals, because eventually they'd be pissed about it and lose a few overall points lol.Comment

Alright @Caulfield, In all of the footage seen thus far including the tech demo plus the last 10 years of this game. The lead off animations are the same along with the running animations. Not to mention Jacki Robinsons walk up and pointing to the crowd after a base hit animation all of witch that exist in MLB 22.

same with players on-deck acknowledging run-scorers, show it. I had never noticed it so I wasn't aware if it just wasn't depicted or if even in replays, those on-deck ignore their teammate, which IS unrealisticOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I must say, I am actually pretty impressed with the additions this year. It took me a long time to move on from '20 but I have been playing a lot more of '22. I would like to move on to '23 especially as the early release is my Birthday. But I am probably going to have to wait for a price drop this year. This has been a rough year financially but a good year physically and mentally so I will certainly take that over the way I was last year. LOLIn Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Ejections. I get why charging the mound won’t ever be in an E rated game, but ejections happen far more frequently and generally for a single purpose, team morale. Perhaps losing a challenge or a crucial call going against you can unlock a screen that gives you the option to argue with the umpire in exchange for a team boost. Plus even just a handful of different cut scenes would be hilarious.Comment

Ejections have been in the game forever. If you turn them off pitchers don't get ejected for beaning batters back to back to back. It's not like anything in MVPComment

Ah makes sense. I had never seen that in the settings before but that would make a lot of sense.Comment
