Re: MLB The Show 23 Franchise Mode Discussion
Has anyone noticed that when restart a franchise
has some player attributes for example judge power 117 and that's not the only one
Is this a bug or has it always been like this
I then simulated two weeks for fun and suddenly the attributes fell back to normal???Last edited by elnino457; 05-01-2023, 01:37 AM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Franchise Mode Discussion
Just saw Baltimore trade Adley to Houston for Framber V, so I stepped in and undid. Grateful for the 30 team control option.
I'm not even fanatical about controlling all the teams but that trade was just.....no.

I really wish MLBTS (and Madden) would add a trade approve feature like 2K has.Comment

That was the exact trade that made me stop my first franchise and go 30 team control. Even as an Astros fan it really bothered me.Comment

Was field reporter removed from the game? I noticed in 21 Heidi was there but she’s not on 22 or 23.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Franchise Mode Discussion
Yes, she was removed at the same time Matt V. was. But I will say that if you listen to some of the things Singleton says throughout the game (usually in the 3rd-4th inning and later) it's a lot of the same sort of analysis lines she had.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Franchise Mode Discussion
Your best bet would be to do a search for how to set up 30 team control. Its really simple and others have explained it really well on this forum. I'm just not the best at explaining how to do it.

Re: MLB The Show 23 Franchise Mode Discussion
You have to start a new franchise, but before you do set up two user profiles. One of them should be the profile you normally use. The other one should be a “CPU” profile. On the CPU profile, go to Game Mode Settings and set up the settings how you want to deal with the 29 other teams. For instance, if you only want to make trades for the other teams, set the “Trades” setting to Manual and the others to Auto. If you want to handle free agent signings for the other 29 teams the set the “Sign Free Agents” setting to Manual, etc.
Then when you go to start your franchise, go to the team you want to use yourself and set their profile to your normal one. Then go to all of the other teams and set their profile to the CPU profile you created.
For me personally, I set up all of the game mode settings on the CPU profile as AUTO. This allows me to go through my franchise as normal, but if I spot a terrible trade then I switch the trade settings to MANUAL and undo the trade.Comment

the video explains it very nicely and simply
I've also been busy with it for the last few hours and will go this route with the thirty teams everything else destroys everything in the long run, e.g. stupid trades, etc.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Franchise Mode Discussion
July 6-9: ROSWELL (41-50) @ FLAGSTAFF (61-29)
Stadium: AutoZone Park (Capacity: 9,577)
July 6: Hops 10, Aliens 8
July 7: Aliens 10, Hops 7
July 8: Aliens 8, Hops 2
July 9: Aliens 4, Hops 2
Flagstaff, AZ (AP) - The Hops dropped three of four to the Roswell Aliens to close out the ten game home stand with a (4-6) record. The Hops dropped three of four to both Colorado Springs and Roswell, but still hold a commanding lead in the West.
The Hops pulled out a wild 10-8 win in the opener. Flagstaff used an eight run fourth to defeat the Aliens and send them to their 50th loss on the season.
Roswell grabbed a 2-0 lead in the third off of Ryan Pressley on RBI doubles from Justin Gellman and Howie Saunders.
Flagstaff would bat around in the fourth, sending 11 men to the plate and scoring eight times. They hit three home runs in the inning with Emmitt Hampton’s grand slam being the big blow. Robbie Westbrook hit a two-run shot and Josh Ortega added a solo home run immediately after Hampton’s grand slam.
But the Aliens would rally from an 8-2 deficit with two in the fifth, on a Danny Watson two-run double, and four in the seventh on two-run home runs from Steve Fuzz and Blake Pacinelli to tie the game at 8-8.
The Hops would load the bases in the bottom of the eighth and Josh Ortega would untie the game with a deep sacrifice fly to center to put the Hops up 9-8. Robbie Westbrook would add an RBI single to give the Hops a two-run cushion.
That left it up to Vic Miller in the ninth. He made it interesting giving up a single and walk, but he would get Rosas to bounce into a force out to end it and earn his 29th save.
Josh Ortega went 3 for 3 with a home run and drove in two to lead the ten hit attack for Flagstaff. The Hops also drew a season high nine walks.
Angelo Chacin picked up the win to improve to (4-1) out of the bullpen. He worked two scoreless innings. Ryan Pressley pitched six innings, throwing 109 pitches and allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out nine and walking one. Sam Varela had an outing to forget, giving up the two home runs, allowing four runs on four hits without recording an out.
Friday night was another offensive explosion with Steve Fuzz hitting three homers to lead Roswell to a 10-7 victory over the Hops. The teams combined to hit eight home runs in a marathon game that lasted four hours and nineteen minutes.
The Aliens blew this one open in the fifth inning as they scored five times to turn a 3-2 lead into an 8-2 advantage. Steve Fuzz hit his second home run of the game, a two run shot, to cap the inning.
Fuzz came to bat in the eighth with a shot at history, but he fell short of a home run, settling for a double. He went 4 for 5 with three homers, a double and four RBIs on the night. He now has 13 home runs on the year. Robbie Westbrook (23), Emmitt Hampton (23), Roberto Geronimo (13) and Skyler Lyons (4) all homered for the Hops in the loss.
Juro Yamaguchi (7-4) was touched up for eight runs on 11 hits in just 4.1 innings of work. He struck out seven. Daniel Figueroa (5-1) picked up the win, pitching five plus innings and allowing three runs on eight hits. He struck out five and walked one.
On Saturday afternoon, the Aliens blasted four home runs as they continued to pound the Hops pitching staff in an 8-2 victory. Blake Pacinelli went 4 for 5 with two doubles, a home run and three runs scored to help lead Roswell to the win.
Pacinelli homered in the second off of Sam Herzog to put Roswell in front 1-0. Joe Gallagher would hit a three-run home run in the fourth to make it 4-0. Danny Watson and Michael McGill would also add home runs as Roswell has now scored 26 runs in the first three games of this weekend series.
Arturo Mardones went 3 for 5 with an RBI in the loss for the Hops.
Sam Herzog (6-8) took the loss, pitching six innings and allowing four runs on seven hits.
Mitchell Long (7-5) picked up the win for the Aliens. He pitched six innings and three 98 pitches, allowing one run on six hits while striking out seven. In all, the Aliens pitchers struck out 11 in the win.
In the finale, the Aliens got a big two-run home run from Steve Fuzz in the third and rode that to a 4-2 victory to win the series.
Roswell would grab a 1-0 lea din the first in a Danny Watson RBI single that scored Willie Reece. A Donny Roland RBI single in the bottom of the second would tie the game up at 1-1.
Steve Fuzz then launched a long two-run home run to left to put the Aliens up 3-1.
Forrest Owen’s 14th home run on the season, a solo shot, cut the Aliens lead to 3-2 in the fifth, but they would answer right back in the top of the sixth on a Joe Gallagher RBI single.
Alex Farmer (8-3) took the loss. He left in the top of the sixth with shoulder tightness after throwing 5.1 innings and allowing four runs on seven hits. He struck out six.
DeSean Gardner (9-6) was credited with the win for the Aliens. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on six hit, while striking out five.
The Hops (61-29) will have Monday off then finish up the first half of the season with a five game road trip with three in Albuquerque (33-60) and two in Yuma (40-51).
Trades: Chandler is in win now mode as they made another big move as they have brought in 28-year-old first baseman Jaevan Cooper (88 OVR, C POT) from Albuquerque in exchange for 23-year-old centerfielder Danny Averill (75 OVR), 20-year-old third baseman Sean Cruz (62 OVR) and 19-year-old closer Ward Hall (60 OVR). Cooper was hitting .281 with 24 home runs and 55 RBIs in Albuquerque. The question is what do the Chiefs do with three really good first basemen. Cooper can also play the corner outfield positions.
Mesa has made a move to try and keep up with Chandler as they have acquired 33-year-old centerfielder Clyde Floyd (82 OVR, A POT) from Amarillo for a trio of prospects in 25-year-old reliever Colin Hutchins (69 OVR, A POT), 19-year-old centerfielder Salomon Casilla (56 OVR, C POT) and 23-year-old left fielder Brian Montanez (54 OVR, C POT). The Solar Sox lost starting center fielder Mike Rexman for the season back in April with a torn ACL. Floyd was hitting .236 with 14 home runs, 51 RBIs and seven stolen bases in 85 games for the Honey Hunters. He is in the final year of his contract and will be a free agent at season’s end.
Roswell has acquired 29-year-old reliever Ray Kuzina (88 OVR, D POT) from Henderson in exchange for 28-year-old third baseman Clay Gaspar (75 OVR, C POT) and 31-year-old starting pitcher Michael Ambrose (74 OVR, C POT), a puzzling move by the Silver Knights, who sit in first in the DL West.
The sell off in Yuma continues as the Dust Devils have sent 28-year-old left fielder Victor Resendez (92 OVR, D POT) to Las Vegas in exchange for 24-year-old starting pitcher Thei O’Farrell (77 OVR, C POT), 19-year-old centerfielder Pedro Pineda (72 OVR, A POT) and 20-year-old reliever Frank Vega (61 OVR, C POT).
The Dust Devils also sent 31-year-old starting pitcher Charles Mota (80 OVR, B POT) to Surprise in exchange for 23-year-old third baseman Anthony Morrow (67 OVR, C POT) and 29-year-old starting pitcher Antonio Cortez (83 OVR, B POT). Rumors are flying around the IBL that the Dust Devils may be up for sale with owners in several cities looking to acquire the franchise.
West Texas has acquired 24-year-old first baseman David Petrovski (89 OVR) from Amarillo in exchange for 21-year-old starting pitcher Jonathan Goss (74 OVR, A POT) and 21-year-old reliever David Novoa (65 OVR, B POT). The Honey Hunters also sent 31-year-old closer Dane Radatz (95 OVR, A POT) to Mesa in exchange for 21-year-old starter Andy Monahan (62 OVR, A POT), 25-year-old reliever Angel Rondon (60 OVR, C POT) and 24-year-old center fielder Floyd Gomes (55 OVR, C POT). Both trades look like Amarillo got some nice prospects for two very good players leaving.
Around the League: Yuma pounded out 11 extra base hits in a 10-7 victory over Tucson. Glendale and Surprise combined to hit 10 home runs in a 13-7 victory for the Desert Dogs.
Phoenix’s Brian Song hit two home runs and drove in five as the last place Firebirds blew out Goodyear 12-1. The Firebirds have a league high payroll of $224M, yet sit in last place after making the Desert League Championship Series in 2022.
Mark Donnellon (10-3) tossed a complete game, five hit shutout as EL Paso defeated Mesa 6-0. Sam Robinson hit a two-run home run in the top of the 10th as St. George defeated Colorado Springs 6-4.
Las Vegas rallied from a 6-3 deficit to pull out a 7-6 victory over the Long Beach Surf Dawgs in walk-off fashion as Herb Clark hit his second home run of the game in the bottom of the ninth to send the Nuggets to the victory.
