Anyone feel like the CPU has gotten ridiculously good at hitting foul balls? I'm using standard sliders on HOF. Batters regularly get 8-9 pitches an at bat. If I quick manage and enter a game, my pitchers get like 8-9 pitches an inning but if I play, it's per at bat.
Couple of other things that annoy the crap out of me in this years game
- Check swings. My rate seems to be 3/4 are considered strikes on check swings. Cpu is maybe 1/3. I wouldn't have a problem if the check swing animations were more varied. They're often checking on the same types of pitches with the same animations and so it looks the same as when I get a strike called. Minor gripe but kills some realism.
- Speaking of realism, infielders can often make harder throws when their momentum is going in the complete opposite direction of the play or from a direct stop than they can when making a clean throw that they step into. It's minor but it kills the realism on some plays. They shouldn't be able to do this.
- Mean reversion on simming. I hate when I'm on a nice win streak in franchise and playing great baseball and then I sim like games and get absolutely blown out. I know, it's baseball and this happens but it's like I can't trust the CPU to make any decent decisions on my behalf.. Even trusting them to start a decent lineup is hard.
