Don't post a ton anymore, but just wanted to hop on and say I've found stepping off to be an effective outlet for me when they kinda start fouling off a few in a row or so.

I just played my first game with i guess what is “live rosters”. I selected tonight’s Sox/mariners game as the standings were correct showing 1-0 for Boston. Apparently, nick pivetta is making his MLB debut in game 2 of the season which is cool. But shockingly, bobby dalbec also made his mlb debut. WTAF???

Pivetta isn’t cool either. He’s been in MLB seven years.

Short answer... and best answer. Long answer is detailing just what settings to choose to play when learning the Show. One thing I'd suggest is turning autofield on. Kinda strange the default setting that loads when first playing the Texas-Arizona game you play while waiting for install is set to manual fielding. That's alright for people who know enough to change it, but if you've never played MLBTS before, you don't know not to play with default settings. My 2 pesos.

Unless you’ve got a lack of controller skills or reaction, I don’t see why you’d limit yourself. I feel like even new players can quickly get then hang of manual fielding and it makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

I want as close to a sim experience as possible relying on ratings rather than stick skills, so anyone new to the game would wonder why one experienced would play with auto-fielding.

I just bought the game this morning and only had the chance to play the Arizona Texas game while it installed. The audio was terrible. Ball to mitt and ball off bat sounded so weak and muted!
Please tell me this is only the case during the installed game!!?

Noticing the more I play that my exit velo is insane this year. It’s making it hard to get doubles or score a run from second. Everything gets to the fielders so fast that when I do get a double it’s a close play at the bag, and the runner always has to hold up at third on a single. Almost every hit is well over 100 exit velo. I know they said hitting was largely unchanged but I didn’t have this last year.

Try either increasing difficulty level of hitting or lowering solid hits slider by one click

I’ll give solid hits a try. I’m scoring a realistic amount of runs and getting a realistic amount of hits so I’m good on the difficulty I think.

I suppose. But ultimately if your stick stills are consistently similar, then it should be the ratings that decide what balls you do or don’t get to.

I guess if your stick stills are poor enough that you’re not getting to routine balls than yes it would be best in auto for realism purposes.
