Re: MLB The Show 24 Little Things Thread (Positive Little Things)

With two outs and after reaching first via a drag bunt between first and second base, Noelve Marte goes on first move and beats out a pickoff attempt. He then scores on a hit up the middle by platoon right fieldr, Rece Hinds.

The "little thing" that I loved through this whole sequence was the Giants manager losing his mind after the failed pickoff attempt. His was like he knew Marte was pre-destined by the baseball Gods to score after that.

How did you get JD Martinez on the Mets? trade?

Once in a while you just see a play you’ve never seen before but … is just an odd baseball happening .

Losing 2-1 in a tight franchise game against someone I’m battling for last wild card spot with.

I’ve got a runner on first and I attempt the steal … I get a terrible jump but it’s a wild pitch and the ball goes all the way to the backstop , so I round 2nd and keep going … the catcher picks up the ball at the back stop and could have a chance at 3rd with a good throw. But … he launched it four feet wide, into left field and I jog into home to tie the game 😂

A little bit of luck, but a very cool play to see unfold.

Its weird, I waited until April 1st to start my franchise and It still didnt have JD in the Mets roster. I dont know why so delayed. Im going to have to make room for him somehow. I refuse to start over lol

Also, there used to be a way to use the stubs to purchase more franchise budget space. I hate that they removed that!

The Opening Day roster came out April 5th, I've heard to account for one full trip through the rotation for every team (don't know if that's actually the reason).

I have played this game through its many iterations and not sure if I had a scoring game quite like this. I took the Rays to Coors Field for a series opener and won 6-1. My run scoring was six solo homers. I had 11 total hits and three walks, but none of those base runners touched the plate. Funny thing about that is I had one runner thrown out at the plate, one runner who I tried to stop from going to third and the defense threw behind me and got me at second, and I also got picked off at first. A strange but fun game none the less.

I've seen the ball hit the bag, but never hit on this angle and bounce back to towards the plate

Franchise game, simulated, Steele tossed 8 innings of no hit ball and lost. Since i make transactions based on the real world, the day after this outing, he went on the injured list.

That game won't stop making me smile at times! It just happen!

My CF enter a ShowTime moment, and force once, I hit the X button at the right time! He then dive, and makes the catch.

Well, nothing abnormal for that, but seeing the "Wow" on his lips, while the pitcher looks stunned on the mound was a pretty cool moment.

I love that game, not perfect, but i really love that game!

The other day I had a slow roller up the middle hit the *back* of 2nd base and it changed the trajectory.

I had seen several hit the front of a base and either shoot up or stop, I just hadn't seen a ball with the exact right bounce and speed to hit the back of the base before.

My Marlins rebuild, I made an "under the radar" type of trade with Minnesota to get infielder Diego Castillo to play on my big league club, while the young guys get AB's in the minors.

He has 85 power against lefties, but not much else. He promptly blasted 2 bombs against the Angels en route to a nice victory. Gotta love this game.
