I also see you can press "X" to select storyline
I wonder if that means each game, you'll be provided with a list of storylines as the season progresses based on recent performance and you can Select which one you want to track throughout the game?
Maybe there are specific OSD throughout that'll pop-up and keep you updated on how that storyline played out during the game

        Very cool

I know it was a topic of discussion when one of the new PA announcers was leaked a week or so ago, but this video made it pretty clear that there will be 3 in total, including the one who was already in the game, Alex Miniak. He's not removed.

Only so much they can cram into a 5 minute video with regards to Franchise. Looking forward to Thursday.

It would be cool if they talked about things happening in other games during your game. Like IRL when they'll mention someone being close to a milestone or a blowout happening around the league. Would add a bit of realism.

My main hope is that now that the contracts, trading, and free agency are cleaned up massively this year, the actual sim engine gets cleaned up next year. It’s a lot to do both in one cycle but the financial piece was significantly worse than the sim stats/bullpen usage. Now they can focus on getting that right.

I want to say it was in 20, but they did have the single A city listed before in certain areas. Maybe they brought that back but hopefully we have the teams themselves.

I was meaning the front office features are very similar in MTO from the last couple of games.

Re: MLB The Show 25 Deep Dive Franchise Front Office Experience

In a quick look at the video I see one obvious mistake. One of 3 factors in signing a free agent is "positional competition".

"If a free agent is blocked at their position they will be less likely to sign with you". Example given was Mookie Betts at SS. In my franchise Mookie Betts plays a secondary position CF. IRL you would talk to the free agent and tell him Betts is in CF and the free agent will play SS.

Secondly you only get to choose 2 categories of player types?

Framber Valdez player card -1 stamina. That apparently hasn't changed. Stamina still declines.

Positives free agents may reach out to you and may give you a last chance to beat an offer from another team.

why make you have 50% interest to offer a contract? I should be offer a contract to whomever I please regardless of their interest. Obviously slim chance that they will accept it, but what if I REALLY wanted a guy and I offered him a ridiculous amount of money. That would probably change his 35% interest..

I'm excited to see how the new features play out. That being said, year after year complaints like bullpen logic would be fantastic for them to address. Also, someone made a spreadsheet last year where you could put in your lineup in to optimize it—I believe they used sabermetrics. I would love some quality of life changes where you could easily go to any team on your franchise and quickly change the lineup or based off different formulas depending on your preference. I feel like there is a great baseball game here, but every year I have to roll up my sleeves to get my franchise working the way I'd like it to and I'd love if some more effort was made under the hood to take some of that extra work out of it. I mean how many of us are expecting to get this game and then immediately change every team to only have one long reliever and one setup guy to get the bullpen working correctly?

There is a lot that is great with this game, but I'm really hoping some of the small things are addressed as well.

I know there is Create A Stadium, but has relocation been touched at all or a thing? It's been a few games since I played The Show and was curious about relocation if I wanted to move the A's to Vegas to keep it realistic.

I think these off season changes look great, but I’m hoping for some details on Thursday that will make a difference in-season. Bullpen logic overhaul would be a great addition for this year. I’d also like to see ticket pricing management, promotional days, merchandise and concession pricing, manager and player interviews, and the return of the recap show. Better use of the player morale system that hasn’t been touched since 2016 would be icing on the cake. Obviously few to none of these changes are coming this year (other than bullpen logic I HOPE) but decent step forward.
