Re: MLB The Show 25 Early Impressions

Been playing sports games since snes days. This is the most disgusting display of quality assurance malpractice in a sports game since madden. Glitches galore in stadium creator. Nothing works, nothing was updated and not one request was listened to. I'm about to walk away from this game and never look back.

Some weird things that may get patched in....

      - zero shots of either bullpen during the game of pitchers warming up.

      - zero shots of the dugouts during the game. Not one.

      - pressing R3 to see the defense seems to be gone.

      - in the schedule it says my team won the game, even though I lost and the standings says I'm 0-1.
You will get bullpen shots of opposing team
You will get dugout shots I think...now you got me wondering
You need to press R2 and R3 for defense view

Yes they are in. I saw one for the Pirates when O'Neil went yard on me today.

It seems backwards so I'm sure they will correct.

I’ve tried it the way I described twice and haven’t seen any issue with stamina.

The more I use it the more I dislike the new bullpen management screen.

I agree. I hate the new bullpen screen. It's like a PS1 gen screen. I'm sure when they made this choice, they had to know the backlash it would receive. Which is head scratching.

I'm ok with these other bugs, like the ticker and sunglasses during night games. I know they will be fixed soon. I'm not ok with this bullpen screen, but I know we're stuck with it.

Okay my bad on dugout celebrations. I was concerned they were missing.

Personally the sunglasses at night drives me crazy because it impacts every play. It’s annoying to see the shine off of them while fielding or watching the CPU field/hit. At least the bullpen screen is only looked at 2-4 times a game.

Seeing the bullpen warm up is cool and I’m not happy they took it out, but most people didn’t care about it and just were in that screen to start warming up pitchers and selecting them, so the screen was gone through very fast. Similar to how they removed a lot of the dead time between pitches on Broadcast setting because while a few people liked to let them game play out closer to real life, most people just moved along to the next pitch (even on Broadcast).
I understand they use analytics but completely removing features/visual presentations without an option for the user to do it doesn't look good especially for old gamers like me. To put it politely it looks cheap.
Also, I've always used the real time broadcast package since it was introduced without skipping anything. I play sports videogames for decades now and I've always wanted the full package, a virtual recreation of the real sports in every aspect.

I enjoy it too, but unfortunately we are a dying breed. They have to make the decision to keep those things in and use up space for a small handful of people or removing it so they can use that space for things that most of their users will maximize the use off. It’s just the unfortunate reality of the way gaming is going since everything is about being faster and getting to the core content more efficiently.

The in game storylines are well done. Look forward to them being expanded upon in future releases

Man, you and me both. Seeing a pitcher ready and waiting, hands on hips…..that’s baseball presentation. This new screen doesn’t expedite a thing.

They added league leaders to the in game score ticker!!!!!!

Also like how the ticker mentions players who are placed on IL.
