im still going to just because i love baseball and ill always play no matter what lol .. i do like that Lane Thomas card tho and he would fit well it my Ex Cardinal 0utfield with Adolis Garcia and Randy Arozerena .. im trying to think of other players i could use to make up the infield other than Carson Kelly at catcher and i know i would have 2 great starters with Sandy ALcantara and Zac Gallen could be a really fun theme team to run as well

well jumped in to Ranked last night with the Cards theme team and went 2-1 with 2 rage quits before the 4th inning like its this late in the year why are we still doing this???? and then the 3rd game i just couldnt hit that 99 Patrick Corbin other than Willson Contresas who went 3-4 with 3 hrs .. i think im going to jump in tonight as well using the 50hr captain adn the 90s pitching captain should be a fun night .. hoping that my buy order will go through today also for the dicipline captain and the arm accuracy captain

Got to 40 wins in ranked going 40-0 then lost my first two games with kluber and skubal. I played at shippett instead of Coors and I think that screwed me, I was warning track power for days.

First game I gave up two 2 run hr with kluber on cutters to lefties off the plate inside... Still don't know how people keep those fair like in the gap

Both games I had more hard hits, perfects, and good contacts so that's kind've rough to lose my first two like that but maybe now I'll care about my record less and play more since I lost the undefeated mark

Inside Cutters have felt incredibly weak this year. I think in most cases it's the batter being early, effectively making contact before the ball really cuts in on them.

Then again, I'm probably giving the hitting engine way too much credit.

prob works better on HOF/Legend but all star it's just annoying that you can keep the inside cutter off the plate fair (I can't seem to however). I also feel like if you paint a cutter on the outside then it gets pulled and torched too.

I think a super slow cutter relative to sinker/4fb is really the most effective cutter but yeah...sucked to lose that one...it's still annoying me.

Played two more games tonight. Lost the first (3 game losing streak) and won the 2nd to get off the losing streak.

The first game I lost 5-0 and had 1 hit but I had more perfects, more hard hits and more good contacts than the other guy 😭... All three losses at shippet... I think my last win may have been shippet too I forgot.

Prob need to shake my lineup up a bit and not confident with too many starters on all star difficulty. Think I'm already up to like 30 points in ranked..too bad rewards suck

Kodai senga any good? Grienke has a sneaky fast chanegup but my first game tonight had a huge input lag

So I've played like 8-9 ranked games in the last two days and I usually play br and events.

The input lag seems bad in almost every ranked game but rarely ever in br or events.

Ive been late on 94mph fastball but warmup with speed sliders on legend against randy and nen.

I've gotten away games almost every one of these ranked games, I have cross platform off. I just won a game with 3 hits but 2 perfects, 18 good contacts and 12 hard hits.

When you enter the lineup screen does it always have lag in it this year or will they be a sign of a bad connection like years past?

Is it just me or are all set 3 cards ridiculous and everything after is broken?

I have **** averages with soto/trout/harper with the 99 durability boost...been playing the event and I still destroy with carroll/adley/belli/jram

Outside of Biggio and J-Ram, I'm pretty lukewarm on Set 3 personally but I think Set 4 was bloody fantastic with some excellent hitters.

Set 5 is either hit (retro finest) or miss (2023 finest). Outside of Kwan, I really dislike the 2023 finest guys - honestly preferring "lesser" versions of many of the same players (I think there is such a thing as overjuicing some cards - you lose their "ID"). It's making making that Finest program brutal (I wouldn't even bother with it if it weren't for Raines).


As bass-ackwards as this may sound...try seeing how you do with those guys WITHOUT the Captain boost.

so ive played a couple more games with the different captains and i can for sure say i do not like the 50hr capt team because i feel like all of their swings are just long and vision isnt the greatest but the short kings , Free swingers, and arm accuracy teams are really fun to use .. i think my favorite would probably be the free swingers and on the pitching side that 90s capt has been really fun with Mussina Glavine Maddux and Randy i really like it alot

That arm accuracy team is super funky....in a good way...like there are some oddball cards that are eligible (IIRC, the Retro Finest Conforto is eligible, but his others are not).

I haven't looked at the free swingers in a long while, actually forgot about it. I'll need to take a peak there.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's program to see who we get that can fill roles in the various theme teams.

i agree with you there i know everyone is hoping we get the Mays that we are waiting for .. but who else do you think we could see? i think Musial could get another card maybe even Babe

Dave Parker - I don't think this is likely with his 99 Set 1
Billy Wagner (Astros) - I could see this being a future RS/BR though
Griffey Jr. - probably not likely
Ron Guidry
Al Kaline - his best are 97s
Ivan Rodriguez - his "best" is the HR Derby

obviously i would love Lou Brock but then i cant use his capt card lol .. and i think Kaline and pudge are defintely possible and maybe even Joe mauer we havent had one since set 2 ? idk should be nice.. i miss when we got hints and stuff throughout the week not just the day of release
