Ryan Howard HR moment is impossible. It cannot be done!! If by chance you're lucky enough to actually hit the ball in the air, which is almost impossible, it's always caught!! Always!! The only 2 times it wasn't caught it was off the wall for a double. The only time I actually hit the HR it went foul. I've done this like 20 times and I'm about ready to quit because it has just irked me to no end. I have no idea why the SDS folks feel the need to rig up these moments to be nearly impossible to accomplish. The hitting results in moments are dramatically different than actually playing games. Hitting while actually playing games is quiet enjoyable because the batted ball results have a vast array of results. But the moments you're pigeoned holed into the same 2 or 3 results. It's just so frustrating!!

Finished off my second run of the USA map. The 20 packs from that and the 5 pack from the wheelspin.

Zero diamonds. But I pulled like 3 gold icons.

This is the worst pack luck I've ever had. Good lord.

That is how every year is for me. At this point i just think it's normal to go 200 packs and pull nothing or never pull a diamond higher than 92ovr if you do miraculously pull one.

I like these moonshot events, I have trout, Sosa, and pederson half way thru p4

          I've got Jeter into p4

Keep trying different guys at 2b...cant hit with lindor or albies but turner is mashing lhp and semien is mashing RHP despite his mediocre stats

I use Jazz in center but platoon Trea some and Trea is terrible in cf. 99 speeds doesn't make up for his horrible jumps. I do like that defense matters

I have 190k stubs and should just break down and buy griffey then move Jazz to 2nd and platoon with Trea but I feel ripped since I didn't pounce on griffey during the flash sale. He's 146k now and I think I could've got him for 110k

Haven't fooled with the Mexico thing since it does really benefit me until we have a core collection but think I'll dive in pretty hard to monthly program on Friday depending on how the event looks and how long it is

3 more Monthly Award cards away from getting my second big boss, which will be Chipper. Regret not getting him over Pedro because I could have actually used him.

Also sitting at 89 BR points - will get Griffey/Posada, buy the other, and then my god squad is finally ready for ranked.

I haven't been chasing the Live Collection as much, so I locked in guys like Ketel and Manny who rake for me. My main program points are nearly at 1.1M and I think I've got maybe 2 diamonds on the spin the wheel, LOL.

Needless to say, ready for the second inning and thank God they don't take away your first inning guys quite yet. Interested to see if there will be a sell-off approaching inning 3, or perhaps not if a lot of the cards get collected.

Re: What Are You Working On? - MLB The Show 23 Edition

Was a big day for me yesterday. Was away from my console all week, so all I could do was flip cards in the app. So I did that as my main “idle time on phone” activity all week. Ended up doing surprisingly well for myself.

As a result, yesterday I had enough stubs to buy Arenado, Diaz, and Verlander. Sosa is now mine at last. He was also my trigger to earn WBC Turner, so now I have a couple of major changes to my best squad to look forward to when I get to play some actual games.

In the meantime, I have a massive amount of program moments/missions to catch up on. Starting with weekly wonders, then April Rewards, then probably Mexico to get that Around The World pack.

Wrapped up the Topps April Program, the April Monthly Rewards Program, and the Seattle City Connect Conquest yesterday. Took about 4 plus hours! Easy grind..

For the Weekly Wonders, which cards count as “any Legend batters” for the HR goal?

Should be any retired player regardless of card series or overall.

Thanks! Sosa and Bench got the job done for me.

I had a good weekend of playing got all the monthly awards unlocked and even got to 10 wins in the event so that was nice. I really like some of the cards also i think Mateo will be my 2B and imma keep Heim as my C along with Chapman at 3rd and Outman in LF .. im really getting excited about friday and im hoping its Future stars with maybe getting a 2 way player Tink Hence for the Cardinals would be so sick or ill take another Wynn for SS

Not hitting great in the event but is cool using these different cards with the rewards boost

I think playing some mini seasons in legend and rookie have messed up my timing and patience a bit

Also got two diamond packs in the wheel in a row. Got all the bosses but Ricky

What's gonna happen to the market on Friday. Will everybody be selling off set 1 stuff to buy set 2?

Im at 230k and other than bolster my pen I'm not sure there is a whole lot for me to go after so holding might be the best plan

On another note, this Chapman card in the event is a beast. Way better than I thought, I may have to move chipper to dh after all. Chapman's power is real

well i decided to sell some of the Cards i had bought for my Cardinals theme since i wouldnt be playing with them as much so i sold Ozzie and Edmonds and then sold Bichette and Helton from the event so i bought judge now im 3 cards away from Jeter. just need the 2 Angels and Degrom.

i really hope we get a hitting Captain for the Cardinals with the new team affinity on friday then i may have to buy back ozzie and edmonds but hopefully they just put more of their packs in the game through conquests or something and i can try and pull them . i didnt have to buy Waino i pulled him from a pack from the loop game so since i pulled him i didnt want to sell him , since i really wanted to try him out.

I think unless you need a Set-1 card for collections or it's a card you really want to hold on to like Griffey or Realmuto, I'd sell anything that's over quick sell value. Those set 1 cards will still be useable but I just think the market on those are going to crash and people will be more interested in getting Set-2 cards.

I'm still focusing on Live Series, even though it doesn't seem as rewarding as last year. Had some lucky pulls in Judge and Ohtani, so ended up completing the AL despite really wanting Sosa. Just going to keep throwing my extra stubs at it and sell any BR rewards when that refreshes.

Content is really weird this year. I don't think I actually have a "god squad", but that's because I'm focusing on Live Series and I don't play ranked. I'm either using random cards for pxp offline or playing BR. Even in events, it's never just my best guys. Think I like it this way, but we'll see how attached I am to the game in a couple months.
