Good strategy! I'm doing the same sort of deal in using my Extreme Conquest run - figuring out which players 'click' for me. I previously played 1 game in that Extreme Miniseason awhile back and even on AS, I think you want to be well-optimized just because of how solid your opponents are.

As an aside, I've personally never cared for Kluber vs the CPU - all of his pitches are the ones (cutter/sinker) that normally get crushed by the CPU when they miss. I'm sure he can be solid vs Users (I know I personally struggle vs pitchers like that), but think his utility is more a bit more limited vs the CPU.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

well i bought that 99 O'neill and put him in CF for my Cards team now all im really missing in a C badly .. i could use a Willson finest for the Cards that would be sick although i bet it'll end up being Nootbaar i would guess .
when season 6 comes around tho i am going to have to make some tough decisions about whos going to play and who ill have on the bench .

i played 2 ranked games last night and the 1st one the dude quit after beind down 2 in the 1st and him going 1-2-3 on Ks by the 97 Flahrety and then the 2nd guy was using a very odd choice of cards but only ended up winning 3-1 and had 15 Ks with the 97 Wacha ..

i finished the collection thanks to the monthly program so now i have all 3 cards and really dont plan on using them unless i go to a actualy "god squad" but that really doesnt excite me either adn im not really excited for the postseason program so i may focus more on my madden franchise until season 5 unless there are some flashback Cardinals cards in there which i doubt

        This jrod monthly program sucks.

I'm at 79 points....ill get 15 for the monthly 5000 pxp and another 5 for rbi to get to 99 points

I'm left to do a 60-70k exchange, get 7 more saves with monthly players, or pitch 45ip with mobthly Pitchers (I'm at 16)....all for one point

This is why these programs are such a drag... To get jrod I basically gotta mindlessly play the cpu on rookie, and bunt thru my offensive ab's to basically pitch 30 innings with cards I'll never use.... ON TOP of the time/work I've already done

Not at all being antagonistic, but why do you "have to mindlessly play the CPU on rookie" for innings pitched? Why not just play on higher difficulties that are more engaging - you'll still get your innings.

To each his own, but slogging through games on rookie always made "the grind" feel worse to me...

Because I don't want to use yusei kikuchi August monthly card for any longer than I have to.

If I'm going to play more engaging innings it would be online and it will be with players I want to use. I can't go online with players I want to finish this program

I'm forced to use monthly players to get jrod, why would I make the process needlessly longer than it has to be by using **** cards in higher difficulty games?

This event hasn't been too bad, it was aligned with the postseason program nice. Got 20 wins for bell and sold him for $250k or so...accidentally locked in moreno which would've been a nice extra 50-60k

Bought randy for idk 500k, surprised he didn't stay higher priced for a while

Also got tatis with the 10 win event rewind

Been running the 99 durability team and it makes all those guys almost max everything. Started the extreme conquest basically to get wagner but didn't realize he was set 3 and expiring so I only got like 2 games into that. Not gonna bother bc I'm never getting all the way to griffey.

Wanted to play ranked yesterday but hands were cold and I generally sucked all morning at hitting so didn't wanna go down that route.

Kind've looking forward to the next event/postseason update

I’m also enjoying the postseason program. In particular, I like ability to stock up Miniseason vouchers even after completing the program, so I can apply it to following rounds.

Going to be away from the PS4 for a week, so that will help me catch up when I get back by cashing in vouchers for progress. I also like how the Miniseason missions are making me use cards I just got for collections initially, but are solid enough to mash with for some fairly quick/easy goals on low difficulties. I’d never bother playing with this many Marlins hitters, or Brewers pitchers, or using some random Blue Jays position players, etc..

I was running some weird team builds in the event too. I really like the corbin carrol card and we were able to use christian walker dbacks capt...so gave carroll a little boost and then alek thomas and some other recently released dbacks cards.

I'm assuming next week we'll prob only be able to use dbacks/phillies/astros/rangers in the event....

I was running a pretty good phillies squad for a while too because bryce, turner, and castellanos were all supercharged

That was another fun wrinkle to me - the number of supercharged players I could plug into the lineup from all the WC teams. Supercharged Harper was nice!

i finally got some time to play yesterday after taking a half day from work just to recharge .. i got the conquest done on the WC program and then did some events i think im at 90 points in that program now and i think if i hit 1 more HR and get 2 Ks then ill finish the program .. havent had alot of reason to play since i finished the set 4 collection and no Cardinals cards coming out . i did play 2 games of ranked with my all Cardinals team and went 1-1 . the 1st game i played a bunt cheeser and i hated it and was down 4-0 after 3 innings . i got some bad animations and crap that caused him to get runs but i setteled down and started to hit his Donaldson card .. got a HR from 99 Goldy and then a 2 run shot from 97 Edmonds and then took the lead on a 2 run HR from 99 O'niell . i won that one 7-4 and then the 2nd game just got outmatched and had some pitches go right down the middle that he crushed i hated it but i was up at my hightest rating of the year i think at 582 so will try harder to get to 600 and then maybe try to reach 700 once this year .

                        Season 4 seems LONG.

Give us some new bosses already. Have all 3, only use Mookie, and barely have used him (or the new Randy card) with all of the other programs.

Hoping this next round of Postseason gives us some usable cards. Yordan, any one of the Phils, etc. Wish Turner was exploding because his 99 from last year was worth the mil.

I haven't played in a week and I'm still 100% complete on TA and all programs.

this lull actually gave me time to fairly catch up....I got jrod, soto, rollie, all of topps now, last weeks postseason, etc.

Today i started BR because I do think darvish may be usable.

I'm definetly off with my hitting by now playing as regular. Ever since last Monday it seems like my timing if off or i'm just not picking up the ball.

I've spent the last two days trying hard to catch up. Finally got JRod done and finished Soto. Got Topps Now done as well. Just have the Wild Card and Division programs to finish, really.

Extreme too but I haven't really focused on that much

I got to 20 wins in the event and sold Santander 430k. That’s really the best way to get stubs now, get the event rewards as fast as possible. I’m at 1.8 million, and that’s after buying the chase pack Trout and R Johnson.

I do like the format of the postseason programs with the online missions, I’m 70% done with the new one just by playing the event.

Nicely done. I want that Santander for the God squad but it’ll be tough to pass on that cash knowing he’s free at 10 wins next event.

I’m 7-0 in the event and just finished the program before even completing conquest! Have never gone 12-0 (or 12-1), so I’m taking a break.
