Would like to see progressive weather...and stadiums such as Seattle's have the roof close to prevent rainouts.

Also perhaps an effort rating...Make some players run hard for a single or a fly ball and others not as much.

Something along these lines I'd like to see is another rating for the Pitcher that works in tandem with confidence, let's call it "Resiliency" or "Bounce Back".

This would allow a pitcher to have a bad inning but have the confidence meter bounce back quickly the next inning. Some pitchers are able to have a bad first inning but then lock in from the 2nd inning on and mow down hitters. This would simulate that aspect of the game.

Right now, if you have a bad early inning, it seems really hard to keep the pitcher in the game and build their confidence back up.

Please take the "989sports" logo off the centerfield wall in Comerica Park. To my knowledge, that is the only stadium that shows that. It is annoying to look at for 100 pitches a game. It has been there since the psone days.

          Hi goh,

Take a look at my post in "Official"Bugs"/ "Glitches" thread.
You will find a LEGENDARY PLAYERS LIST FIX. It took me 3 days to
          fix this!

989 also listed Whitey Ford, Eddie Mathews, Stan Musial and a few others
          But they never delivered them.

I agree with you they need to fix their Legendary list plus I wish 989 would make it easier to unlock all their legends. Why offer all these legends if all we can manage to unlock is 12 players!

I would love it if 989 offered all their legends right at the get-go, then
I could start my franchise with them.

It's more fun playing with and against all the legends than admiring them from afar.

My apologies. I just rented MLB 06 and this has been done. Comerica looks good.

I'd love to see some new TV broadcast style fielding cameras used.

I'd also love to see the Legends have their signature batting styles, like Musial's corkscrew batting stance, Joe Morgan's flapping elbow, etc. Having the names without the real batting stances for those guys makes it seem like I'm playing MVP, and all of its generic batting stances.

All that said, MLB rocks. Great game, and can't wait to get the next versions of PS2, PSP and PS3.

Re: Official MLB 2007 - Wishlist

A couple more (I may have already said these, but I'm a bit out of it now).

                1) More editable rosters - This was covered above, mainly with the minor league edits. The fact is, when the top 4 or 5 minor league players on each team are already named and such, it just completely ruins the whole realistic feel. Now, there would not be a problem with this if...

                2) Daily player progression - ...players didn't progress right back to where they originally were the day before if you edited their stats. For example, let's use Dustin McGowan. I edited McGowan to be a top AAA starter, but the next day, he "regresses" into the exact same player as he started as. Therefore, it is impossible to edit rosters, if everytime a player is edited, he changes back the next day. This is very important, for major and minor leaguers alike (MVP did this very well).

                3) Random franchise errors - Just going to list a few, and hopefully they are fixed:
                1) The FA bug - where if you signed a FA during the year, he would magically have max ability the next day.
                2) The coaches bug - where coaches would suddenly regress for no apparent reason, and there would be maybe 2-3 good managers, and 27 awful ones.
                3) The -2 billion bug - this one was rare, but it was where at the start of the second season, I was $2 billion in debt. Now, I'm pretty sure I didn't spend that much , so that was a killer to the franchise, since you can't buy anything.

                4) Sliders - This game needs a ton of more sliders...things like OF/IF arm strength, ball speed, OF speed and the like. It was impossible to get a double down the line last year, because the ball travelled so fast. These could all be fixed with sliders.

                5) Keep it up - The stadiums, animations, atmosphere, depth and gameplay are top-notch. This is the best baseball game on the market, and with a couple changes, it can be the top seller too.

EDIT: One more, use real MLB contracts!

                  [QUOTE=jawgee]
I LOVED the EyeToy feature! Is there any way to further enhance that feature by editing the captured face? Like adding in features to the face like facial hair, hair style, etc.?

jawgee, Good idea! I would only add:

The option to add or subtract features like to subtract a beard from someones face. Plus give us an option to adjust the size of the "Eye Toy" head, It's cartoonish, it is too BIG.
Why not give us close-ups of all the faces of the players of today, let us pick each feature from any player. You pick the eyes from one player the nose from another etc. Then let us change the eye color and skin tone on the edited face.

I love to build legendary teams, what I do is find a modern day player who looks like a player from the past, then if possible change his hight weight
                  and number.

Change his batting stance if he is a left, right or switch hitter, plus change his throwing hand if needed.

Then I change his name, All Star Baseball allowed the name change thing in edit mode plus they would announce the last name if that name was in todays Big Leagues. Things were so open in ASB!

Have an option to take off beards. I might find a player who looks like Ted Williams but he has a beard so I wouldn't be able to edit him as Ted Williams.

Someone brought up the idea that the Yankees don't allow beards, With MLB 2006 you can't edit out beards, if the Yankees traded and got a guy with a beard, the Yanks would have to live with the beard.

In general it would be great if editing was opened up for all us creative types!

I'm saying if the game-play is fixed, glitches etc then please consider our ideas on editing a captured face.
Plus please offer an option for "TOTAL EDIT".

A couple more off the top of my head:

Some players in franchise have no contracts, so you can't trade for them. I don't know how this happens...

When fast-fowarding, the starter generally stays in the game, even if he throws 180+ pitches.

A free-agent bid system (drive up the market)...and also, I've seen Soriano in the FA market for three years, only demanding 1.2 mil/year (and his bar is full). I felt sorry for the guy, so I signed him and he hit 61 HR with 154 RBI.

Game is good and could be better if....

                      1. More sliders. Such as baserunner speed, cpu ball to strike ratio and so on...
                      2. Less diving by cpu.
                      3. Fix the Detroit Tigers away cap and helmet to an orange D.

It'd be great to have the renovated Wrigley field bleachers and the "knothole" in the wall, which was just released (A SF type hole where fans can see into the stadium "thru" the wall).

I hope they fix the way this game scores errors. You throw the ball away and no error is charged and the batter winds up with a "double" or "triple." This frustrates the hell out of me.

I think that there needs to be variable weather with rain delays and rescheduled games. This is a big factor when it comes to strategy and is missing from all baseball games.

                              nobody has commented this ..

A nice touch is the fact that in the stadium scoreboard you can see the actual batters counts and game score BUT for every different player at bat
they always show the same STATS oF AVG. HR. RBI. If they can include to show the player actual STATs (those three) for the season or current game (in case of a one match only) that will be a PLUS

                              Keep up the excellent work!!
