-More Realistic Catcher's Mask's especially for the Goalie style masks put a team logo on them to make them more realistic not just plain solid colours.

    - Add Rainouts to the game based on which city's have the most rain.

    - Give more roster control.

I do not have the game but I wish all games allowed you to do this:

For created players, be able to put stats into the game so they could follow career milestones. So if you made Bonds and he broke Aaron's record, you would have his career numbers. It could be simple and could be based on "Years Pro" (if they have such an option on CAP, and if not, they'd have to include it)

How about a steroids option where you can keep track of how many steroids your players are taking. Keep a doping calendar for them. Get maximum performance without overdosing. Deal with 'roid rage outbursts as well as cheat drug tests.

Is it possible to start a new sticky thread for Wishlist items for MLB '07? This thread is from last year.

              Thanks.

                    Also...

Varying attendance at the stadiums. If Washington is in last place and playing the last place say....Rockies....I don't wanna see a packed stadium. It's just not right.
Dress the stadiums for opening day and the playoffs ...please. It's a totally different atmosphere at these games.
Show cut scenes of the opposing teams bullpen when they are warming up a pitcher. It will make it less abrupt and out of place when the new pitcher comes in. Now it's like a surprise and it's a little sudden.
SPORTSTICKER>>>SPORTSTICKER>>>>SPORTSTICKER with scores of the other games in the league and important events. If the Angels trade Guerrero to the Braves for Franceour and LaRoche...I want to see it in game....I also want to see injuries listed there. You guys watch ESPN and FOX.....you know the deal .
Option years....and I mean of the roster...callup/send down variety not the salary option years. I don't want to arbitrarily call up and send down players at will....I want to have to THINK about exposing a guy to the waiver wire...and waivers...
Okay that's it for now...I'll get back to you later...

Oh yeah...break into my game and show me an important highlight from another game ala ESPN. If the Mets and Braves are in a tight race....and the Braves win against the Pirates to go ahead in the race...show a highlight of the win in my Mets game....

Re: Official MLB 2007 - Wishlist

First off I would like to say that I am VERY pleased with this game. I admit that I was closed minded and would absolutley never gave this or any other baseball game a shot if EA sports didn't lose the MLB license. Well, stupid me. I really enjoy this game a lot. I love how it's harder to pitch and you can't hit your spots all the time. I like being able to play with the Red Sox and actually have to sweat out games and fight in the very tough AL East division. In other games pitching would be so easy that I would win games 3-0 ALL the time and I would lead the AL East with ease. Now it's so much more rewarding. Well anyways I will add a couple ideas to the wishlist for next year....

Variable weather would be nice. I think this game does a GREAT job in presentation and the little things that make it like you are really in the game. They should add variable weather so that maybe a little rain can start and it can affect the game or some games a slight overcast and others a beautiful sunny day. This would just be a little thing that would be pretty cool to add to the game.

One simple thing that I think NEEDS to be in baseball games for stat freaks like myself is a HR rating for players. Every player has their own unique swing, no swing is the same. This is partially the reason why some guys are HR hitters and some just aren't. I think besides a power rating there should be a HR rating so guys like Bill Mueller will only hit 10-15 a year because he has such a level swing and just is not a HR hitter. There are guys that are power hitters that just aren't HR hitters and Bill Mueller is one of them. The most basic way to add this realism to the game is just make another attribute and it would be respectively a HR rating. This would need a lot of testing of course to make sure that there aren't too many HR's for the guys with a high HR rating and aren't too few for the non-HR hitters. The basic thing I want in a sports video game is being able to distinguish between two different players. User's skill is important but I want to really see players doing what they should be doing. It seems to me in sports games every player almost has the same shot as the other guy on the field as long as the user is playing good with them.
