Re: Official RTTS Thread..
An: A for potential, thats all that matters. Its tough playing RTTS in All Star mode with limited attribute points available. You have to distribute them in what area you deem effective to make the team. Dodgers 3rd base, is accessible and I will be called up once I wreak havoc in AAA.Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
What's the earliest call to the bigs you guys have gotten? I actually made it to the Show in 2007, the Padres needed a starter for about three games and my lefty got the callComment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
The next year I started the season in the minors, but was called up after the first month went the coach evaluates the lineup and I stayed the whole rest of the year in the majors. Same thing for my third year.

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
I will say this, imo, the PS3 version of RTTS is much tougher to put up gaudy offensive numbers early in your career.Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
Is it just me or does it seem like you use up your beginning attribute points too fast now when creating your RTTS player
I could barley make a dent in any of my beginning categories
Personally I think they made the PS3 RTTS harder....I'm a SS and I'm now asked to sac bunt runners over often so it's hard to earn any attribute points.....but at least I'm making my manager happy at the expense of making my player get any better
This is going to be a tough careerComment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
i play ss with the cards and i have had only 2 4-6-3 dps since playing RTTS on both the ps3 and ps2. other than that, sometimes i have to cut off the throw on relays from the OF. on a side note, I like how even though you don't control every player, you still can impact the game either negatively or positively without doing it at the plate. for instance, i booted a hard hit grounder because i tried to throw it before i had gathered it into my glove, and as a result, a potential dp went down the drain. as a result, the inning continued and 2 or 3 runs were scored. also, i was doubled off a couple of times, killing rallies to come back and the commentators noted as much between innings. good stuff. the only 2 things i'd like to see in next years iteration are: more variety when it comes to defense as well as defensive performance factoring into your playing time, and the ability to play through the game without simming to your player's next appearance.Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
Just an FYI: Career (both RTTS and classic) players are always labeled as an A for potential, from the moment they are created. Not that surprising when you consider the way your abilities increase as opposed to regular progression - you could turn any of your players into a superstar.
I noticed that in '06 when I saw the description poo-poo'ing all my abilities and then coming back at the end with "as close to a sure thing as you can get"Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
My "Road to Redemption" ended up in Perdition. I was doing great in the month of May. Stealing bases, driving in runs scoring ect... The 3rd week of may, I steal 2 bases vs. Sac. Rivercats, finish the game and boom Torn Achilles out for the year released and re-signed a AA contract. I'm Pissed, cause I'm slower now, I got stealing in AA, but my bat is good because of predictable pitching.Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
I hope that's true. On my PS2 RTTS, I am the top rated player in the MLB in my 5th year. I knew I'd eventually become the top rated player, that's just how it works with games, but I thought it would take a little longer. It hasn't dampened the fun of the game yet, but there just isn't much more room for my player to improve offensively after 5 years. My contact, power, and speed attributes are pretty much completely maxed out. It was a tough first year batting with my player, but eventually my attributes increased so much that it is pretty easy to hit. I'm not going to start the career all over again with the PS3 version though, I've played too much for that.Last edited by aukevin; 05-20-2007, 09:34 AM.

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
RTTS is so addicting, man this mode alone is worth the price of the game alone. I hope they expand on it for next year. Like allowing you to take part in the training sessions rather than just paying points and having your stats go up.Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
I'm loving this mode. It's all I'm playing right now. haven't even started a season yet. My guy is still in AA, about 20 games in, batting around .400. Nothing like picking the right location and pitch and just crushing it.
Question, for those that are in the field, how do you dive/jump? Also, since the right stick is used for the camera, how do you slide?PS4: aBayBates
