I just started my 2nd season in AAA. I started there in my 1st season then got bombed and send down to AA where I got bombed and then righted the ship enough to earn a call-up back to AAA at the end of last year. My ERA is doing much better through 3 starts. I expect that I will get a cup of coffee at the least this season.

Guys, I have a question. In RTTS mode, is the mood of the coach and the team directed towards you, or the whole team in general?

Just got called up to the Reds in May of 08...Started the season 5-1 with a 1.51 ERA in 8 starts at AAA. I have a feeling my stay will be short but I am going to enjoy it while it lasts and try to make it hard for them to send me back down.

Ok now I'm having some fun with this RTTS mode. HustlinOwl thanks for the link. That helped big time because I had no idea I was supposed to max out my per 9 sliders first. I had to start my career over because I was using my points to upgrade my pitches and then was wondering why I was giving up homeruns to weak hitting minor league players. I did move down to all star level not because of how I was pitching but because I wasnt getting any run support. Not having a ton of run support is fine in any other mode because I control everything but when I'm relying on the bullpen to hold a 1 run lead after I've been taken out in the 7th, its not fun finding out the lead was blown. I made my first all star team, I'm only 22. I'm second in the NL in strike outs and have an era of 3.15. I'm loving this mode so much I've put my Twins franchise on hold and I am in the last month of the season.

Well it's been an up and down ride for me in the majors. I started off a little rough, but then rebounded for about 6 starts until I broke my arm and was out for 2 months. Came back from that and the season stats are 6-2, 2.76 ERA with 2 starts left before the playoffs.

Well, I'm at the end of June 2010, and I'm finally up the Show for good. I got called up at the beginnins of May, and I was listed as a utility player, but played most every night. Now, I'm listed as the starting CF, and I play every night. I'm still boucing around the order, hitting lead off some nights, and 6th-8th other nights, but I'm in the bigs!

I was hitting .350 at one point, but I hit a rut and was down to .287 before righting the ship. I'm right around .320 now, with 4 HR and 20 something RBI.

Oh, and hell must have frozen over. The Rangers have a 7 game lead in the AL West and the best ERA in the majors!!!!

I rented the game over the Weekend since I have no classes on friday and monday was a day off.... I put in some seriuos game play and got a Closer into 2009 and played a position player into 2011 before I finally started to get frustrated.....

first year played 20 games in the majors B/W KC and LA(I got traded for Saito), hit around .350 with 9 HRs 15 RBI in those games(had 5 Hrs in my first 3 games.... must have been pretty hyped).... ended the year in AAA with the Dodgers. Signed a deal the next year with the Pirates for about 30,000 (I guess top level 19 year old prospects are cheap) and proceeded to fill in for Jason Bay for 60 games and hit around .350 again with 15 HRs and 40 RBI in those games..... sign another 1 year 30,000 deal with the Yankees and I'm a AAA utility player getting a total of 29 at-bats in the season (in which i hit .500 and had 5 HRs in AAA).... end of the year no contract offers.... sim through spring and I don't get a contract... do the same the next year.... no contract.... and I'm done....

I just got really frustrated that regardless of how well I was playing my guy never seemed to improve.... even though my lifetime stats in about 90 MLB games I was hitting .350 with 25 HRs and 60+ RBI before I turned 20 I was still a D contact, C Power, C speed prospect with no offers..... then when I enter my 3rd year I am pinch running and all my attributes go down.... even when I was playing really well with the Pirates the most improvement I got on an attribute was a +6 on power...... which of course saw no improvment the next two years....

Wasn't the case with my closer cause all i had to do was focus points on pitches and they built up pretty fast... also I was never buried on a bench getting a max 30 points cause I stole a base as a Pinch Runner....

I just felt cheated after playing really well... and putting in most of my memorial day weekend... I would at least have a starting position in the Majors to show for it....

If the option comes up, ask for a trade. It helped me.

Still in AAA. Was traded from Detroit to Boston. I don't think I am ever getting out of the minors.

I am working on my 2nd RTTS career, this one as a 1B for the Reds. I started in AAA and got a surprisingly early call-up in May of 07 and was up for about a month batting about .220 with 1 HR and 1 RBI. Right now I am back in AAA in late June tearing it up with a .389 avg with 6 HR and 23 RBI. My attributes really aren't all that good either, so it's surprising me how well I am doing. If I keep it up I have a feeling that I might be on the opening day roster in 08.

That happened to me each of my first 3 seasons. I'm finally up for good now, though, I hope, but I'm very streaky. I got back down under .300 again for 4 games, but managed to claw my way back to .310 again.

Another Goaled failed due to Goals not being dynamic and changing with the giving situation.

Scenario: Hitting

1st @ bat single

2nd @ bat, inside the park HR

3rd @ bat, double

4th at bat HR

On my 4th at bat, I was asked to due the impossible and the dialogue suggest that it was virtually impossible. I was to ask to hit a 3 bagger but I ended up hitting a HR and I failed at my goal. I just think in a win win situations, goals should change or be neutral not failing.

I think it varies. For example, I'm a SP, and one of my goals was "To induce a ground ball" But, I struck out the hitter instead, and I got a "Goal Succeeded" popup.

I am playing as a 3B for the Reds currently in AAA. After the 1st month I was hitting .316 with 6 HR's, 19 RBI's and 9 SB's. I get a message saying the Reds aren't happy with me and I am now on the trading block.

You would think that my production would be decent at the very least but I guess not.

Your goal was probably actually "Hit for the cycle" which required a triple in this case. Since you hit a HR instead, you failed at hitting for the cycle. I've seen this a couple of times, either a triple or HR short of the cycle. I've never gotten it either, but I like that you're being given a goal that lofty, because that's sure as hell what I'm going to try to do!
