The CPU did lowball me early on in my first year in the major leagues. Dunno why, I had a GODLY year and didnt get offered that much more for the next year. Probably need more experience in order to get paid the big bucks. Im having fun dominating the league lol. I get frustrated when my guy doesnt get up to par with the rest of the league.

Right now I cant think of a starting pitcher better than me. I'm first in K's. 3rd in ERA and 1st in wins. My 5 pitches are 4seam, 2seam, curve, slider, and change. Their sliders are either maxed out or close to max.

Started the 2011 season as the starting CF for the Rangers, but I was taken out of the lineup quite a few times against left handers. I struggled at the beginning of the season, dipping down to .250 at the end of April. I got hot in May, though, and got it back up to .308 by May 18th, when I was promptly sent down to AAA. I hit .458 in 3 weeks down in OKC, and was called back up in early June. When I came back up, I was the full time starting CF and leadoff hitter. I'm now up to around .350 with 7 HR and 41 RBI at the All Star break. I've only got about 170 at bats, so that's not too bad, realy. Hopefully I'll finish out the season strong, and can be a full time player next season and get 500+ at bats.

So far I'm through the 23rd of June in my 2B RTTS career, and it's been the revolving door treatment for me. Started out of ST in AAA, sent down to AA, called up again and rotted on the bench, and was sent back down again. I've torn up AA pitching (I've been a regular starter there), but haven't quite been able to handle AAA yet.
              Code:
                        G AB AVG H R 2B 3B HR RBI SB BB K
              AAA 30 113 .194 22 8 4 0 2 15 3 3 26

              AA 27 102 .323 33 19 8 1 2 17 1 6 21
Washington Nationals BTW (I picked them at random - whatta pick :/). Default HOF sliders, guess pitch off - I thought about upping the pitch speed but as you can see from my stats, I strike out enough as it is. Also, I'm playing every single game that I'm in - those walks weren't the result of sims.

I'm having too much fun with this to even get going on a franchise - it is VERY challenging on default HOF with my low ratings. I have a feeling I'm in for the long haul here - probably good for a few years in the minors before being called up. Should be fun.

Edit: Lining up those stats was more work than I care to admit....

This happened last night, and I thought it was pretty cool. I'm on defense, runners on 1st and 2nd, one out, I'm playing center. Hard liner up the middle. I play it on a couple of hops and come up firing home. I get the guy at the plate by a whisker, and the runner who was on first goes to third, but my catcher tags the runner at home then guns it to third to get the runner there for a double play. I don't think I've ever seen an 8-2-5 double play before!

I know this has probably already been answered but I really don't feel like going through 18 pages. I have a pitcher and I want to get rid of a pitch, how and when can I do this?

Well I'm in my second year of RTTS, and after moving quickly up through the minors I was in the majors from July-September I hit .354 as a reserve with 7 HR and 15 RBI. I re-sign and get sent to AA. I'm not very happy right now .

That being said I have played 7 Games in AA and have 7 HRs and 12 RBI. I won't be in AA for long I reckon.

I'm in my 4th year, 2nd with the Marlins. Started off w/ Pirates (picked at random), then signed with the Astros after that. I had my first "full" season with the Marlins, hitting .340/9/45, in a platoon w/ Mike Jacobs. I got 3rd in the ROY. I signed a 3yr, 300K contract, and I am seriously regretting it. I'm hitting .360/10/49 in mid-August with Mike Jacobs still taking the most starts. I'm hoping I can get traded in the off-season or atleast work out a new deal...

I have purposely been signing 1 year contracts to avoid that kind of situation, although it hasn't helped me that much. I am still trapped in AAA, until I get called up to ride the pine and pinch-hit.

From what I've noticed in this game, is that at the beginning of the year you are placed in the organization according to skill level rather than your performance the previous year. It took until my 4th year before I started the season in the majors. This was the year that my skill level had finally surpassed that of my major league position-counterpart's skill. Even then I was only skill-wise better than he against right-handers, so for the next couple seasons at the beginning of the year I was not in the lineup against lefties.

Luckily after one month it seems your manager evaluates the team based on performance rather than skill level and I am either placed in the starting lineup or called up. Now I'm the highest rated player in the MLB, so I don't have to worry about that anymore But this is some logic that the developers need to look into for next year IMO.

Just ended the 2010 season, finished at .363/10/58 I believe... Good thing about 2011 is that Mike Jacobs is in AAA so I finally get to be the everyday starter. I also checked my contract and thankfully saw I have a player-option for 2012, so I'll probably opt out after this year. My goal is to hit atleast 20 HR and drive in 80.

I started out my RTTS as a closer for the Braves playing on the All-Star level on the PS2. I had a great spring training with 10 saves and an ERA under 2. I got sent to AAA Richmond out of Spring Training where I pitched great the first month. I had an ERA right at 1.00 with 9 saves in 10 chances. First of May for some unknown reaason I got sent to AA Mississippi. I've been at AA now for almost 2 months during that time I have pitched in close to 40 games. My manager pitched me in 15 straight games at one point and most of the time in non-saves situation. The AA team has 5 total relievers and my ERA is under 3, but I have only one save. The team lost 10 games in a row at one point and I pitched in every one of them, but never in a save situation. I have not fussed about anything, but I figure my pitcher's arm will be falling off some day soon.
