That's impressive. As much as this game makes you take days off and pinch hit sometimes, it is really hard to get a streak that long. Congrats!

I am really starting to get frustrated...I am about 30 games into the season, putting up MVP numbers and the manager decides to start someone else in front of me. I don't know wtf I have to do to get and keep a starting job.

I think it mainly has to do with your overall ratings. I put up great numbers my 1st two seasons in the bigs but wasn't an everyday player until the 3rd year. My overall went up a lot over that time, and another thing to look at is your rating out of all your position. Right now I'm like #12 in the league at 1B even though I'm hitting .420, 16 HR, 61 RBI.

          Re: Official RTTS Thread..

So I decided to start a new RTTS Career as a CF for the Cubs organization. I simmed Spring training and ended up signing a 1 year contract and started playing for AAA Iowa.

I was putting up good numbers .424 AVG with 2 HR's and 9 RBI's in about the first 5 weeks. (I wasn't even listed as a starting CF. I was playing a lot of LF more than the actual starter)

Then I get called up to the Cubs. Honestly, I was very surprised it's my first year and very early in the year. I'm not doing so hot. I'm sharing time with Felix Pie and I'm batting with a .222 AVG in a little under 30 AB's.

I'm putting all my training points into Contact, Hitting Coach, and Power. Though it's a little frustrating because I'm not getting a lot of training points.

Why did they call me up so early?!

I started my RTTS as a 3B in the Orioles organization. I hit around .260 in ST and started off my career in AA. I started out as a 3B and they moved me to DH not too far into the season. After the first 3 months of the season, I was hitting near .230 and was flatout released because the Orioles were too frustrated with me.

I signed with the Reds organization and am now hitting .380 with 8 HR's in the first month. I am waiting to be moved up to AAA.

Edit: On June 1st I was moved up to AAA! The Bigs are just an injury away!

Haha. So I created a CF in my RTTS with decent power and very good speed. I randomly picked a team and ended up with the Yankees, signing with their AAA team after ST. After starting off very slow, batting under .200 within the first couple weeks, I lit fire in the last 2 weeks of the first month and I ended up batting around .310 with 4 HRs and 20 RBIs. I also had about 11 SBs. Surprisingly, I was called up to the majors after only a month, and I was very anxious to start playing. Well... to my disappointment, the Yankees seem to have no interest in using me at the plate, as the only use me to pinch run in key situations due to my speed. I have yet to even sniff an AB in the majors and its already been a month. I've even complained a couple times hoping that I would either get a start or get sent back down, but the Yankees seem to be insistent that I just strictly pinch run. Frustrating, but very realistic! Hopefully I'll get sent back down to see some regular ABs or Damon will get injured!

Recently started my RTTS I'm a SP for the Chicago White Sox. Went 1-2 in spring training got a contract and started my season in AAA Charolet. after making 9 starts I astablished a 3-3 record with 41ks the I decided to risk a call up to the show, and to my amazement it worked. I've pitched in 4 games so far have a record of 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA and 19 punch outs.

                  Re: Official RTTS Thread..

I just picked up the game again lastnight. Decided to run a RTTS the since I don't have a lot of time to play full games.

I'm a 21 year SP for the Angels. Went 1-2 in ST and was sent to AAA Salt Lake where I'm #4 in the rotation. I got hurt in the first inning of the first game for a few games. I'm currently 1-3. Putting up decent numbers. Usually give up 1-2 runs per game and get pulled after 4.2 IP resulting in the loss usually. I'll have a 2 hitter going, 5 K's, and get a pop out only to get pulled. Usually happens every game, worst part is I'm not that tired.

I'm hoping to spend the year at AAA with a late season call up and then sign with someone else maybe. Prior to selecting my team it said the Angels had balanced depth at SP, now in the season it says it's SP is deep. If that was the case I'd be playing in Kansas City cause I know they have nothing.

I haven't had alot of time to play lately, but I have just started playing again in the last few days. I am playing everyday batting cleanup for the Rockies in 2011. My league ranking at 1B still sucks, as I rank 40th out of 48. I am tearing up the league hitting .444 with 25 bombs and 80 rbi. It is the end of June and I am the clear-cut all star starter at first and leading the league in every offensive category and the MVP race. What I am most proud of at this point is my current 20 game hitting streak...I believe that's the furthest I have ever got.

                      Re: Official RTTS Thread..

                      I need some RTTS Advice.

So I'm a CF for the Cubs organization, I just finished my first year and did real well. Had over 40 rbi's in AAA (playing limited) and 16 rbi's in the Majors for the month I was called up. I thought I was doing great. But the season ended while I was in AAA.

I get no contract offers at all. I'm released and the 'Pick a Team' thing comes up. So basically after a year of playing I have to start all over again and go through Spring Training no matter what team I choose. I'm also listed as a Rookie..again. My overall and stuff is still there so I'm not sure why I'm a rookie again

So here's where I need advice. Should I stay with the Cubs who have 4 potential MLB CF's or look for another team with 'Thin' CF. I want to atleast be starting in AAA. However, if I choose the Cubs again I won't be starting in AAA.

So, I'm playing a CF on the Twins's AAA team, Rochester Red Wings. I've been batting 4th and averaging .340. On Jun 28th (in the game), I got called up to the majors. I spent 4 days riding the pine. I never even got to actively play in a single game. Then I got sent back down. The strange thing was my next game back with Rochester, I was playing RF! Huh?

Currently half-way through the season I've just just been selected for the AAA All-Star game.

We're currently four games back behind the Nashville Sounds and 2nd in the American North with a 51-40 record.

My personal stats are 1-3 with 28 saves, an ERA of 4.17, 20 strikeouts and 3 walks.

I'm using classic pitching as well.

Edit: I didn't actually make an appearance in the All-Star game in the end. Oh well, at least I got about 750 training points for my troubles.

When I threw my first major league pitch I jumped into replay mode to have a look around and it was really scary. I've only ever played RTTS mode in this game so I'm only used to playing in small stadiums, now I'm playing in front of thousands with little old me at the mound.

I was put into a 1-0 game and I got two quick outs before I was hit for a two-run home-run.

I'm starting to settle down now as I easily saved the next two games. Mind you the Cubs are having a horrible season though.

Damn this game is so much fun.

If it's a 'Club Option' (which I have in my contract with the Cubs) then the team will decide at the end of the season whether they'll keep you for that final year of the contract or cut you loose.

If it's a 'Player Option' then you have that choice at the end of the season instead, as to whether to stay with the team or jump into the free-agent market.

Just an update on my RTTS career.

I was sent back down after six games, apart from my horrible debut I managed to save the other five. Finished the season in the AAA with the Iowa Cubs and we just missed out on the playoffs.

The Chicago Cubs took up the option year on my contract so I was back for another year. Again, started in AAA and I did ok but in general I was very streaky, as in I would get 8 saves in a row only to then ruin that run with 3-4 blown saves in a row.

Because of this I was consequently sent up-and-down between AAA (Iowa Cubs) and AA (Tennessee Smokies). I was a bit miffed at getting sent down at first but the coach did the right thing as it got my confidence back. I got 12 saves in 12 games with an ERA of 0.73. Got voted to the AA All-Star game as well.

My best game of the season was when I had to save a 3-run lead for the Iowa Cubs and I got into a right pickle and managed to load the bases with nobody out. Slowly but surely I kept at it and somehow managed to get three strikeouts in a row to end the game, the first time I've ever done that in my career and what a time to get it, I could feel my heart beating after that one!

At the tail end of the season I was sent back down for the last time, just in time to help the Smokies in the playoffs. They won their division twice, so they had a bye week heading into the AA Southern League Championship showdown against the Montgomery Biscuits. I was needed for Game 4 with my team up by one but currently losing the series 2-1, so the pressure was all on me to help us extend our season for another game. I managed to get through it quite easily but the thing that stood out for me was the playoff atmosphere. There was no empty seat in the house, the crowd was so much louder than normal and the MLB theme tune was different. Because of these small things it felt like a playoff game, it was great. I wasn't needed for Game 5, although we did win it in the end. So it was a nice end to the season.

I decided not to pursue the Interactions options available to me (allowing me to either publicly state that I'd stay or leave the Cubs) so instead I waited to see what would happen. My patience was rewarded with four contract offers. Both the Yankees and Devil Rays offered me a 5-year contract whilst the Red Sox wanted me for 6-years. However, after much pondering I decided to stay loyal to the Cubs and signed a 7-year contract for just under $600,000.

I feel they're getting a good deal there, as I'm hoping to be worth much more than that in a few years, so I decided to negotiate a 'Player Option' year, which they accepted. So now I'm locked up for the foreseeable future, but the ball is in my court for the final year if I want to leave a year earlier than planned.

The new season is about to start and the Cubs have named me as their first choice closer.

                                Man this game is great.

By the way I'm using classic pitching.
