You would think that my production would be decent at the very least but I guess not.
So 3 games into May, after I got he message I was on the trading block, I decided to look into what my "interactions" were because it kind of pissed me off that they wanted to trade me. One of the options was to ask for a call up so I did, and they gave it to me! Not sure how long I will stay in the Bigs, nor am I sure why they gave me the call up after putting me on the trade block, but it definitely was cool to be there. I have played several games of exhibition with the full teams, but something about being called up from AAA made the game MUCH more special. Even the stadium (Cards) looked more amazing. I guess that was because I was used to the smaller minor league stadiums.

    We'll see what happens.

In my first season with Texas and spring training went pear shaped with a record of 0-2 and an ERA of 12+.
Of course went straight to AA, but in my first game got a win and a 0 ERA and got called up to AAA !
After 5 games and a 0-2 record and an ERA of 8+ was sent back down to AA where after 5 games I am 3-2 with a 6.34 ERA. Much more comfortable at this level until my skills improve.
      On All star difficulty BTW

Just started this mode last night. Very addictive.

Im still in spring training as a 2nd baseman with the Mets. Hitting 340, 1 HR, a few doubles, a few RBI, and 5 SB. I'm guessing I'll end up with AA or AAA out of spring. Loving the stadiums, loving how I feel like I am the player.

There does need to be some work on the goal system. The success/fail is a bit black and white when there could be some grey area...for example, moving a guy over is a productive out even if you didnt drive him in. Stuff like that.

I ended my 1st season as 1B for the Reds, and after being up in the bigs from late July thru mid-September I got sent back down and the season was over. I was in a terrible slump, going from about a .340 avg down to about .250 when the season ended. I didn't get offered a contract and am in 08 spring training now trying to earn points and break camp with the big club.

Can anyone explain the seemingly random amount of training points you earn during games? I just had a game in which i went 4-5 with a HR, 2 triples, and a single and drove in 7 and only earned 100 points. I have had other games with far less gaudy numbers where I earned the same amount...I guess if I would have gotten a double instead of flying out on that last AB and achieved that last goal of hitting for the cycle that I would have gotten alot more points.

Anyone have tips for spending training points? Im an infielder with a little bit of speed. I know some of you are further along and might have some suggestions how I should spend my points.

The maximum number of points you can get is 100, thats if you have a good game (like you just described). I also believe that whether your team won or loss gets you more points. You can have a really good game 4-5 like you described, and your team won and get 100 points. While if you have the same stats for another game and you lost, you would get a lil less points. It also depends on if you did your goals or not.

Ive been spending most of my points on Contact, Power, and Durability, and some speed. The others I just put points into them if they're decreasing (i.e. the last time I trained them was 3 weeks ago) so I put points into them so they wont decrease. Also, I put absolutley zero points into Bunting or Blocking.

Ugh, im getting frustrated with this RTTS, I started my 3rd season as the Starting 2nd Baseman for the Astros, 2 weeks in, I played most of the games and did AWESOME! And then the third week im the Starting DH, so I've been barley able to play any games....if I do its as a Pinch Runer....gay! Stupid how im put on the bench when im doing better in everything than the rest of my team

                              Re: Official RTTS Thread..

I just picked this up yesterday for the PS2 after getting sick of not having good rosters for MVP 2005 and hearing how good this game is, and I must say, it's really awesome. I never thought I would even toy with the RTTS mode, but I needed something to get me used to everything different in this from MVP. With that said, I just finished April in my first season with the Braves. I'm a 2B, and was assigned to AAA Richmond out of Spring Training, I thought it would be AA for sure as I only started to get used to batting in the last week or so of ST. Hit .268 in ST, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 R. . . nothing special at all. Starting DH there, backing up Pete Orr at 2B. Started off with a 10 game hit streak, things are definitely easier here than facing ML pitchers in ST. Now as it's the end of the month, I'm hitting .446 with 6 HR, 28 RBI, 14 runs, 7 2B and a .489 OBP. I never thought I would be doing this well, maybe I should turn the difficulty up or something? The team is struggling though, and defense is sometimes hard, as I have my secondary position set to IF. 3B is quite difficult. This mode is so fun though! I hope I get a call to the bigs soon!

P.S. Where is the place where they talk about my potential, say you can't field, can't hit, etc.? Like where they scout you? I can't seem to find it and I thought I looked everywhere. I'm on the PS2. Thanks guys.

Highlight your name on the roster screen.....hit O to bring up the player card..then hit X to flip the card over....then cycle through the screens by using the L1/R1 buttons to flip through them....
