Also, if you are a pitcher does your team's hitting sliders really make much difference?

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
I should slap each and every one of you. I read this thread late last night and it got me so hyped up that I had to turn on the PS3 and progress in my career some more. I knocked out about 15-20 games and didn't get to bed until 5 something. I'm so tired today, but damn this game is great. I'm really glad I listened to some of the impressions and picked it up. It's a really addicting mode.Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
Just reached the All-Star Break in 2011. I'm hitting .358/12/56 and the Marlins actually have a winning record.Villanova Class of 2012

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
I had a nice month of July, especially post-All Star break. Right now I'm at .351/18/73 and 2nd to Ryan Howard in the Silver Slugger Award. Howard's BA is like .365 but I have a feeling it will fall. As for the Marlins, we're tied with the Mets in 1st place.Villanova Class of 2012

Wow... the ownership of the Marlins is stupid. I was looking at recent transactions and I just saw that they had traded Dontrelle Willis for some no-name. There goes our playoff chancesVillanova Class of 2012

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
I am becoming very frustrated with my career. It's the end of 2010 and when I actually get a chance to play I do very well. For my career in only 404 AB, I am batting .379 with 38 HR and 87 RBI. IMO those would be pretty good numbers for a season if I could just get the AB's. Season ended and I wasn't offered a contract, so I looked around the league for a team where the overall rating of their first baseman was equal to or less than mine. I am now with Colorado in spring training, hoping to earn a starting job and put up some good numbers in Coors!Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
First season with the Cubs as a Closer. Signed a two-year contract after Spring Training, with a Club Option for the final year. Immediately sent to AAA with the Iowa Cubs.
Currently half-way through the season I've just just been selected for the AAA All-Star game.
We're currently four games back behind the Nashville Sounds and 2nd in the American North with a 51-40 record.
My personal stats are 1-3 with 28 saves, an ERA of 4.17, 20 strikeouts and 3 walks.
I'm using classic pitching as well.
Edit: I didn't actually make an appearance in the All-Star game in the end. Oh well, at least I got about 750 training points for my troubles.Last edited by Malignant; 07-14-2007, 01:25 PM.Dynasty Story: NCAA 2004 - PS2

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
Alright, so I have not read through this thread at all. But I was just wondering if someone could answer some of my questions. I'm used to MLB '06 The show career so this version is a bit weird.
The training points how do they actually work? Like you put like 150 points into Simulated Game or whatever, do you stats actually go up? It seems a bit weird.
Also, kind of a general question, but for Options under contract what can you actually do if you have an option?
I think that's all I have for now.
Currently, I'm a SP for the Akron Aeros with a 1-1 Record

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
I managed to pick up a few more Saves after the All-Star game and suddenly I got a call-up to the Majors.
When I threw my first major league pitch I jumped into replay mode to have a look around and it was really scary. I've only ever played RTTS mode in this game so I'm only used to playing in small stadiums, now I'm playing in front of thousands with little old me at the mound.
I was put into a 1-0 game and I got two quick outs before I was hit for a two-run home-run.
I'm starting to settle down now as I easily saved the next two games. Mind you the Cubs are having a horrible season though.
Damn this game is so much fun.
If it's a 'Player Option' then you have that choice at the end of the season instead, as to whether to stay with the team or jump into the free-agent market.Dynasty Story: NCAA 2004 - PS2

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
*UPDATE*
AA ball can be frustrating. My SP seems to leave many games with leads like 6-1, 5-1, 4-0, then his team seems to either lose the lead and win or just loose altogether.
I had a PERFECT game through 8 innings with my SP, but they decided to pull me and I leave the game at 4-0. My team ends up giving up 3 runs in the 8th and lose it in 13...
..still perfect game I guess, even though it wasn't complete.

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
Just skimmed slowly through the entire thread.
Anyway, I recently got this for PS2 because I was getting bored with MVP 2005 on Xbox.
I'm playing RTTS as a CF for the Twins on Veteran level. I'm in my first season and got sent to AAA, thankfully. I need to be more patient at the plate. Horrible AVG but I've got a couple HRs. What a fun mode! Everytime Campbell says I should be sent down for taking some horrendous swings, I LOL because I can't agree with him more.
I wish, defensively, you could play through the entire game instead of fast forwarding to specific moments.
But, otherwise, no other complaints. Fun game. Glad I picked it up!Comment

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
Blue lines mean stabilised (because you have increased them to that particular level sometime over the last four weeks) and red lines mean they are decreasing (because you've neglected them for over four weeks).
When the blue line is full it will reset and the yellow line above it will move up by one. How much the yellow line will increase is dependent on how easy or difficult it is to increase that particular skill. For example, the pitching categories need a lot of training points whereas durability can be maxed out quite quickly. However, this done mean that if you neglect those certain categories you'll find that durability will decrease more quickly than the pitching categories.
I hope that makes sense.Dynasty Story: NCAA 2004 - PS2

Re: Official RTTS Thread..
Well, I am proud to say that I just finished a 59 game hitting streak. It ended when I was a pinch-hitter and I grounded out. I'm hitting like .420 with 16 HR and 52 RBI in early June.
