so u had to lower clutch in 08? hmm.. i didnt play 08, but may they saw this as a problem, and decided to make clutch play a much bigger role in the 09 gm? a little too much, now maybe...

Im in exibition mode. i dont play franchise either, i do season mode. same stuff with ai still occcurs.

i've played a bunch of exhibition modes and there is certainly no AI there from what i've seen. I won a game 8-4 after taking an 8-3 lead top of 4th and only gave up one run for the next 6 innings .

there have been games where AI comback code is evident in its franchise/season modes (EA NHL, winning eleven), so it is worth checking out for this game as well.

ya, baseball an hockey. cl/utch is not needed for a video game at all. basketball, definately, but they always have the option of turning the clutch factor on or off, i always turn off. if a sports gm is going to put it in the game. we need the ability to turn it olff. im just glad scea alllows us to edit players

update in my SEASON game:

took 4-2 lead in bottom of 5, and now have held the cpu scoreless for the last 2 innings including a 1-2-3 top of 7....

well lemme test this in exibition gms first, then i'll gol to season gms and edit my pitchers. If i have to max ut all pitchers b4 i start my season then thats what i'll do. i just want to have fun. i played 10 season games, 9 were decided by 2 runs or less. the other, i lost 7-1.

no i haven't edited any ratings this year.....only each pitcher's CONTROL attribute so I would issue more walks....

update... top 8th, its nolw 8-5. fresh kobayashi to start 8th inning too. dont think it matter, exibition or not. this game is determined to not let the final score be no more than a 4 run margin of victory. usually 1 or 2. next game i'll start at 10-0 lead for ikndians. obviously 8-5 is cllose. they hit 3HRs, Inge hit two

i won an exibition 9-2 once. i dunno, its so weird whatever it is. i manage gm fine, manage bullpen, replace fielders fine. so its not that. i got the trophy for 500k's playing cpu only. so Ive played a toln of gms. see the ai comeback to make it cllose wayyy too often imo. just trying to determine what it clould be, and if i can do anything about it.

I have won a season game by more than 4 runs also. 6-1 Final.

There's obviously a discrepancy between your research and mine. Are you tweaking the sliders with this experiment, or just playing out of the box?

I'm playing on Veteran btw, if it makes a difference.

Im on veteran too. sliders i adjusted only are:

All ai hitting sliders at zero. contact, power, timing, and solid hits, all at zero.

Pitcher consistency, fouls are maxed.

Human power is maxed.

Reliever stamina at zero.

most of them are for my favor. i get golo stats with them, realistically speaking.

These things happen. You almost seem to be lost in a limbo, where if you are going to lose, or they come back to make it close, there is something wrong.

It is how things are supposed to be judging by everyone's data as a whole.

Looks pretty normal to me. There will be win some lose some games. That score looked like a normal baseball game in real life.
