if we are talking about a code that makes the game automaticly comeback on u , or makes u automaticly comeback on the AI , NO i dont think theres one. Do i think the comeback option is reversed? NO.

all i can say is taht the game is more enjoyable TO ME with the comeback handicap option ON...i have no clue of whats going on under the hood when i play with that, but i must say that i just dont see the results that i shouuld see as the description says(close games)

what i do know is the results i get with it ON, and those results imo are a lot more NATURAL than before. I have all kinds of scores now, when before in my 80+ games playing with the option turned off i would see 100% of the time close scores either with me or the AI making some historical comebacks every single game that one team pulled off on the score board.

I dont know why i see that, or why this is happening...it could be for a million resons such as my playing mechanics or whatever...

so all in all , turning that option on solved my problem as it solve the problem of quite some other fellas... and that does not say that russel or brian are lying or are wrong, not at all, i belive their words, i really do, but i just dont see that on my game experience, and i have to go by that when i play since thats whats really matters in the end....

so, to sum it all, im just saying that the results of this in our game experience are more satisfiying than before, thats all.

about my last post , im sorry if i sounded rude or anything, i know u from here a long time and i know ure a good guy, i just tought it would be cool not to generelize when theres so many kinds of problems related to that.
That's cool brotha. No, I didn't take offense. I did make a pretty strong statement, but that was not meant to demean or disrespect your experience.
If the option is indeed not reversed, that is strange. What really matters in the end is that it is working out for you now.

yeh i couldnt agree more with that.
thats why i evan asked the OP to rename that thread to something more suitble such as "If ure having problems with too many comebacks try this"
but noone listened to me..so thats why the debat continued and people kept arguing about the "wrong" stuff imo, such as the option beeing broken, reversed or non-working... that really dont matter, in the end what matters is if ure getting the results u want or think are realisitic. I could care less about how the settings are set up in my game if im getting the results i feel are realisitc.

Re: Someone Please Save This Game For Me

So far I have logged over 60 innings pitched in my test breaking down ERA separately when leading, tied & trailing. So far the numbers are holding steady:

        When leading: Pitching is poor
        When tied: Pitching is average
        When trailing: Pitching is excellent

I will keep at it and post full results when I have around 100 innings of each. However, for those super frustrated you may want to try the following.

        1. Start game & when tied: Play on All Star default everything
        2. When leading: Switch to Veteran
        3. When trailing: Switch to HOF

Before you call me a cook consider this: I have bounced around playing many games on all different levels and to make a long story short in All Star when I'm winning it "feels" like I'm playing on a different level such as HOF while pitching.

When trailing I feel like I'm pitching on veteran. So in this case if I switch to HOF it might actually feel like I'm pitching on all-star. Likewise, if I'm winning and expecting a comeback just switch to veteran - although it will feel like you're pitching on all-star.

I'm not satisfied with my sample size thus far so I'm not yet willing to go to this extreme. However, if you are at a point where you are thinking about trading in the game or throwing your shoe at the TV then give this a shot. I have no idea if it will balance and keep the game on All Star but I have a sneaking suspicion it might help.

yaaaaayyyyy! another comeback logic thread. Who didn't see this coming?
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Someone Please Save This Game For Me

I had to adjust the sliders some, but the game should have included the music from The Natural when Robert Redford hits the home run at the end of the movie because sometimes the ai pulls off a finish like that. Now don't get me wrong I still love this game and find it enjoyable. In my last game a series of events that by themselves are rare but in back to back order should have a less than 1 in million chance of happening.

I was up 3-1 bottom of the ninth and I had already gotten two outs. The next batter comes up and hits a grounder towards third and my third baseman does some weird move to try and back hand it instead of setting up in front of it and the ball bounces through his leg, literally through his leg like the collision was not detected. So I say ok, no biggie I am still up by two with two outs. Next guy comes up and hits a grounder to short. Should have been a routine play but the short stop makes an error. At this point I am thinking "Oh boy". So the next batter comes up and I can't remember who it was but it was like the 8 or 9 hitter. I decide to keep everything low to try and get him to ground out. The first pitch I throw was low and inside at the feet and it was a ball. The batter is able to turn on it and crushes it almost 400 feet to the opposite field for a walk off home run.

I honestly had to laugh after that happened. I was expecting the game to go into slow mo and cue the music from The Natural as I watch the ball fly into the lights. I don't think it is ai comeback because I am leading my league and I have won many games by a large margin. Sometimes though things like this happen and you just have to laugh at them.

Nothing weird like that happens in real life unless you're the Cubs (Bartman/Moises Alou/Gonzalez/Prior/Tight pants Farnsworth, pick who to blame, Leon Durham)

Yeah exactly. In defense of the game though, most my losses have been in a realistic fashion without any late inning Hollywood type finishes. Sometimes it does happen and you just have to laugh at it.
