re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Not sure if this has been asked but are the secondary scoreboards (Like showing current pitcher/batter) in the stadiums functioning when in replay mode? Last season this was a feature that the scoreboards worked (secondary ones) but you can never really see them. On a replay you would just see the team logo .
Also when replaying a home run can you follow the ball into the stands now ? I know the broadcast camera may have fixed this ?
Sorry if these were said already .... ..

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Yes! The bad news is that I've grown to love NL baseball in my Reds dynasty (love double switches and the strategy involved) and am not even sure I want to go back and play in the AL anymore. The Tigers might not be that fun this year anyways. I'm looking at the Giants for my next season.
So far I am happy with the changes to the fielding, the DH fatigue and baserunning AI. One more question about baserunning though. I saw that the 1st to 3rd has improved but how about players diving back to the bag on passed balls? I hope that has been removed. And will I have the ability to overrule the cpu when I use auto baserunning (like MVP 05)?Comment

Yes, on the second. I was a fan of the cut scenes last year, but I really must say I enjoyed watching the homeruns the way they have done it this year, watching the OFer go to the wall. They do have one where the camera does pull back to show a definite no doubter, and it was nice (different than last year too), but I only saw that once.
You will also see the runner run completely round all bases. Not all the time but frequently. They've mixed it up.Last edited by jim416; 01-22-2010, 11:42 PM.Comment

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I don't think there was one of us who had any concerns about even needing them, lol. The game honestly played that good without them. The fielder speed one does not appear to be needed, for example, but there will always be guys who want to tweak a bit here and there, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how it plays the game on default.
Understood but
( Will global sliders also be seperate this year ?)Comment

Rained for 3 days straight in Phoenix. We've had more rain in the last 3 days than we had all last year.Comment

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Well, I didn't play that many games, I was digging and testing things. I would put an exhibition game on play a few innings, jump out, put it in franchise and run some stuff through the mill.
The new day time lighting in the game makes the game jump out at you. You can have the option still to have clear skies, cloudy, overcast. I always used cloudy and I saw a lot of variety. Didn't look at one night game.Comment

Did any of you all play a night game? In 09 night games were too dark in some stadiumsComment

Re: Post thoughts here for Community Day Hands-on Impressions
Guys I just found out you can only have a song played for 20 seconds before it fades out.
So if anyone was planning on using a version of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" for the 7th inning stretch and if its longer then 20 seconds like mine is then you are out of luck
This is a real bummer!Comment
