I couldn't disagree more. Pitcher control at 0 would just result in the CPU constantly missing over the heart of the plate, and the slider's description says that. You can definitely tell by lowering User pitcher control, playing on legend, and getting incredibly frustrated by your pitchers constantly missing over the plate (and getting rocked) and pretty much never missing off the plate. I immediately did lower User pitcher control when the game came out with the goal of trying to get my pitchers to be less pinpoint on the mound. I just started playing some RTTS again (at the end of my first season) and I walked in my first AB against Branden Webb during my September call up. Did you test that it in RTTS where pitchers' control ratings are much much lower? Because I remember thinking I had walks pretty realistic until I started a RTTS and noticed AA pitchers throwing far too many strikes. I increased pitcher control and consistency, and AA pitchers are as wild as can be.

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Hopefully they include the right start times for the Cubs this year. Last year most of them were night games, but they did fix it with the patch. I'm starting my franchise from day one this year so this is fairly important for us Cubs fans.Comment

I believe bcruise checked the schedule and the majority were day games.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I'll try again since my question got buried by the strike zone reply's
If you select RTP in your game how many game situations still default to cut scenes ??
What percentage of the game from the first pitch to the final out would you say utilizes RTP ?
I'm starting to think that only a small percentage of the game actually uses RTP
Either way it's not a bad thing.... I'm just curious
I couldn't even give you a percentage answer. Not every situation came up while we were playing. It is definitely more than 50% and less than 100%. That is about as best as I can get it for you.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

For me it works best to lower pitch control. Maybe it works better for you to increase control but I felt the cpu painted corners too easily on higher control. I like more meat pitches (for both me and the cpu).Comment

It is funny to see fans leaning over the wall trying to grab a ball rolling by. Occasionally one of those fans reaches a little too far and flops on to the field, lol.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Russell I have another question about online leagues if you wouldn't mind giving me some useful insight....
Say you're running a 30 team league and a owner drops, obviously now you can replace them. However, what if you can not find a suitable replacement will that team become CPU controlled or will there games just be simmed?
How would that work?“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Damn the Rays and our dome. I get no wear and tear and no progression until I hit an away game. Meh. (all kidding aside, time progression and wear and tear are nice little touches)
Very interested to get the info on franchise mode. What Knight described sounds awesome. I know we dont know how the game will ship, but IF it stays to where I can USER control all aspects of the Rays (my team) and then control lineup/rotation for CPU (including call ups) and the ability to set injuries at the beginning of spring training and then allow variable injuries to happen, well that sounds awesome.
Plus being able to "right any wrongs" by hopping into a CPU team and fix contracts, trades, or call ups, well, that should do it for us.
Even if we cant set injuries and then have variable injuries, it sounds like we can just put the "injured players" on the AAA roster and then when its time for them to come off the DL list, just hop into that team and manually bring them up.Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Any new baserunning options? Still waiting to see if we have an in between mode instead of 100% cpu or 100% manual.
Also, I had heard there was a new setting or option for pitch speed. What is it? Anyone play with the pitch speed slider? I always have to lower it to 0 for my skills. It would be nice if that slider was more responsive.
The pitch delay has 3 settings: Slower, normal, and faster. Basically it is pretty straight forward slowing the pitch speed up for people who struggle with it and speeding it up for people who want more challenge.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

So if your not married to The Trop, you can play somewhere else.
Its all about giving control to the user in Franny this year!

Re: Post thoughts here for Community Day Hands-on Impressions
I went through each of the stadiums that did fire works and they did them during the day as well. As for the White sox, there were fire works in the sky but not out of the pinwheels. They just spun with flashing lights blinking. I would assume it occurs after wins if the stadium does it in real life.Comment
