I haven't experienced any lag at all. I played people on the west coast and even played someone from another country..No lag what so ever.

I'm not gonna be a SA and say get a better connection or increase your bandwidth. But you guys with lag issues, have you checked your firewall settings? Maybe you don't have all the ports open that should be. Check the PS website for what those are, but I think it's

Basically, If someone decides to intentionally walk a batter, the game freezes. It's happened to me twice, both by guys with records of 0-0 who probably didn't know about the glitch. It sucks because both were later in the game so I just played 8 innings of a game to have it freeze.

it plays MUCH better than 09.. last year i couldnt even play it.. ive played 3 games now, and the game went smoothe... BUT

2 of the 3 games, the other team magically disconnected in the middle of me getting a big hit, while they were winning... then i got the L ..... if this keeps happening , where players can unplug their system with a lead after the 5th or 6th inning, then it goes back to not playable :\

of course not a SCEA issue, but a sportsmanship one.. why do people play online if they feel the need to cheat?

I'm very satisfied with online play this year. I've played 10 games so far and except for one disconnect (thanks to my internet provider) games have been very, very enjoyable.
My only concern/complaint would be the intentional walk glitch which really needs to be adressed.

I suggest to make sure the ps3 media server is off on your console, not doing other resources while playing the game online to see if it improves the quality. Try testing the game out with friends you know that have wired high speed service to see if gameplay improves online.

You can't see your opponent's pitching ball marker at all. Maybe you can on rookie or veteran, but on All-Star or higher I haven't seen it.

got taken out on a double play attempt and the guy on third was able to take off for home. SS stood up and was unable to throw before a 3 or 4 second delay. Lost 3-2. Bug i hadnt seen before got me in that game.

                    anyone else experienced this one?

OK so I take back a lot that I said as I tried this afternoon and I had a SMOOTH game. Wow. What a difference. Not sure why it was smoother as the other games I had said great connection and had horrible lag, but this one was great. The Show KILLS 2k in EVERYTHING now that I was able to play a lag free game. Theres Hope!

The lag is far from perfect or even good at times. Today for example I go to play now and end up with someone who is said to have a "Great" connection. I'm listening to music so not 100 percent focused on the game. It gets to about the 5th inning and I'm starting to notice I can't hit anything even when I guess the pitch and location correct. So I shut off my music and get up closer to the screen to make sure I'm fully in tune to the game. Still can't hit ANYTHING, even though I'm swinging at pitches that are right down the pipe. I started to swing as soon as the ball left his hand and was able to put the ball into play sometimes.

But he ended up pitching a perfect game with Aaron Harang, throwing mostly fastballs. He struck me out 16 times...with Aaron Harang!
