I have only had one laggy game so far. Im using a wired connection. I did experience my first freeze after a online game was completed. It got stuck on the loading screen going back to the online hub. I had to reboot my ps3.

I think a big part is playing people who make an effort to play The Show online correctly..meaning they have their other computers disconnected (Just because you aren't using it doesn't mean it isn't doing things on the internet...checking for updates, etc). I've played a couple people from OS here, and in these two games the lag has been minimal or absolutely non-existent.

The problem I'm still having is batting constantly changes from game to game and pitch to pitch. There is no consistency in the game due to even small amounts of lag and it completely throws off your timing. For instance, one inning you are fine, but the next there could be a small amount of lag which maybe isn't even noticeable, and you are late on EVERY pitch. Doesn't matter if it's a fastball or a changeup, the slight change means your hitting timing is completely off. And then the next inning it changes again. Frustrating.

Does anyone else have problems with games not counting? I will occasionally play an entire game, get out to the lobby and my record is still the same. My game history will have the game but it will say N/A vs. N/A

thats really frustrating to spend an hour playing a ranked game and come out with the same record.

anyone else have this problem?

It's been happening to a few people. I don't know if SCEA has addressed the issue but I hope it gets fixed.

Reference online, this game desperately needs the following:

-Enable online Rivarly and playoff series. Tracking stats and endurance effects. Allow real series schedule ie, 2-3-2 format. Or just allow players to choose who is home before each game.

-Enable online franchise with 2 owners (with AI control of other teams) or more and allow managing and simming...

Last year, my connection was 3mb DSL and it was unplayable due to lag... but now have a Fiberoptics 6mb connection and out of 21 games, only 1 had significant lag, but I still could play it and we finished.

I am sorry for those having lag issues still, because this game improves tremendously when you have smooth online games.

The only issues im having is the intentional walk glitch and sometimes it locks up on me at the team select screen.

Can you remove the pitching ball marker COMPLETELY this year online , or only fade, like in 09 ?

Here is my 2 cents:

There is LAG, worse than 09 I played online up until this game came out

Ball stops at home plate before disappearing, you think you fouled the pitch off on a swinging 3rd strike.

Infielders run right passed ball without attempting to catch them (Grounders)

Balls drop behind outfielders without an attempt to catch it

Way too many hits

lefty/righty stats for hiiters are backwards.

Pitches to homeplate seem to float.

Game freezes a lot

Pullining/disconnect doesnt cause puller to lose or victim to win

All I can think of now

The thing is I play every other game online just fine, I was just playing Bad Company 2...no lag at all.


Why does the Show have to be different? If my net connection can handle large battlefields with 20-30 people, it should be able to handle a baseball game. Seems to be on the servers end, not mine.

Yeah same here, I have the occasional lag in MW2 or something but then it corrects itself a few seconds later. This game if you have lag in the first inning, most likely your going to have lag for the whole game.

It really is random though. Last night I played one game it was perfect no lag at all. Great game and was very smooth. Me and my opponent did a rematch a few minutes later and our next game was nearly unplayable. Every time me or him were up to bat there was lag. And this was with the same person I just played with minutes earlier.

Both times it said our connection was great but obviously the 2nd game wasn't.

Well, I was so frustrated with the show online that I went and bought 2k. Online is great. Almost no lag. No I'm not a troll or trying to promote 2k. Here's the thing. 2K totally lacks any personality. There are no cutscenes, no life, nothing. Theres not even a walkup of your next batter. It goes from a one batter to the next with nothing in between. It's hard to even tell whos batting because it just switches to the next batter with nothing in between. Foul tips are ridiculous. It just shows the tip and cuts to the next pitch. As soon as you tip the ball, it cuts out and the ball is back in the pitchers hand. So, now there is a dilemna, the Show kills 2k in everything and I mean everything except for online lag. ugh.

If by the man upstairs you mean scea lead developer I agree. I find it kind of humorous that all those with no lag say just disconnect all your new appliances or buy a new router or pay double the internet price for more speed etc. Ok so I do all that and the person on the other end doesn't. Then what? I can deal with a little lag swing earlier etc. But stuttering is unacceptable. The ball being past the batter and then being hit is unacceptable.
