has anyone used a mic online? im playin my buddy and we cant hear each other..we both have logitech wired mics

You need to both press down on the directional pad to activate the mic

While the online is improved, there seems to be a bug in the intentional walks. I've only played two games, but both have been frozen by the other player attempting to give me an intentional walk. The game doesn't freeze, but the catcher stands up to receive the ball, and then they all just stand there.

Definitely needs to be fixed. In the meantime, maybe pitchouts can be used instead? I have to just throw outside because you might throw a wild pitch instead.

I've played 4 games total.

First 2 connection was great. Felt like I wasn't even playing online.

Next game had some minimal lag. Nothing bad at all game was still enjoyable.

Last games I played was bad like last years. But when I accepted the guy's challenge I got a message saying he was in a different country which could add more lag. So it did give me a warning but I went ahead and accepted anyways. I guess he was from Canada because he was a Toronto fan.

Anyways the lag sucked. I ended up with only 3 hits because every time I swung it said I was very late no matter when I swung the bat. Very irritated and reminded me of last year. Hopefully its just because he was from a different country.

Overall very impressed with online thus far. It looks better also I think. Much more clear then last year. I wish there was game rooms with Guess Pitch off though.

Russel sometimes after a game, it will freeze going back to the lobby, happened to be and dmb, and it took a cold turn off and turn on i couldnt even get back to the xmb.

Played 3 games so far (One complete game, the other two bums quit), and I have to say I'm impressed. It's not perfect, but very playable and enjoyable. I just wish more players would take their beating instead of quitting like a bunch of pansies. Also, what difficulty do you have to play in order for a game to be ranked? I always challenge a rank game, on All-Star, and the games I played didn't count to my stats or my record. When I played a HoF game and the dude quit, the stats appeared.

i was just about to ask a similar question. I played 2 games tonight. won the first and the guy quit during the 2nd game (6th inning i believe). I didnt get a win and the stats disappeared for the 2nd game. If i go to my game history, the game is there but box score just has 0's. I had played this one by just going to play now, i assume that is a ranked game if i go into it that way??

What's up with that? If people can just quit on you when they get behind and you dont get credit for a win doesn't that make all online stats/rankings meaningless??

I might be wrong on this so someone please correct me if I am....

I thought I had read from the community day stuff that during online play the batter was going to be able to control the at bat...meaning the batter controlled when he was ready and the pitcher had to wait for the batter to advance the at bat. This doesn't seem to be happening. Did this not make it in, or am I remembering something that didn't exist?

I'll just say I'm tired of the quitters (the reason I stopped playing online last year). In only my first game, I put up four runs in the bottom half of the 1st, we weren't through the inning yet and he quits, therefore, no stats, no win, no nothing. That's so weak. I only wasted my time.

If he put up four would I have quit, no. At least complete the inning and then let the guy know you're done so he gets a W.

I often wonder if I'm only playing 6 year olds sometimes.

One more thing. What happened to the GP Off rooms? Now you have to ask for a GP Off game and list all the parameters, which is annoying.
