It really reminds me of the bugs bunny baseball episode. The ball just hovers right before it gets to the catcher and next thing u know its in the outfield. Even the replay shows the ball by the batter and then he swings and hits a home fun. Its pretty ridiculous. And does anyone else hate the default batting camera online. it is impossible to tell if a pitch is right down the middle or in the dirt.

The guys that have issues. It has to be your internet connection or your opponents connection. Upload speed is the most important thing. If your ISP offers 1.5mb/s upload speed get it. I played 200 plus games online last year and maybe 5 times that I can remember where it wasn't playable. This year my first 2 games were smooth as butter.PSN: ToxicitiComment

I might be wrong on this so someone please correct me if I am....
I thought I had read from the community day stuff that during online play the batter was going to be able to control the at bat...meaning the batter controlled when he was ready and the pitcher had to wait for the batter to advance the at bat. This doesn't seem to be happening. Did this not make it in, or am I remembering something that didn't exist?PSN: ToxicitiComment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - Online Thoughts/Comments
Ive played 17 online games im 11-6 and there is little to no lag. I dont know what you guys expect, but its pretty darn seamless the whole time. Only bugs i get arethe intentional walk bug.
As for hitting online, its less about following the ball with eyes, but watching pitcher tendencies and what they do. If their outpitch is a high fastball you gotta sit on that, jus get in their head its very much a cat and mouse game.
Also online i know its fun to use aces every time, but if i choose pirates or padres id rather not face webb, carpenter, or any plethora of aces that can get away with anything.
Online is very playable and enjoyable, you guys are missing out the graphics are improved ten-fold and its just a good strategy game out there, if you can wait out the dirt balls and sit on a fastball you will hammer it.
Look for me PSN-Shaukdaddy
I know how to hit. Online is a whole other story. With lag you pretty much have to swing as soon as the ball leaves the pitchers hands or else you will be late everytime. And its hard to tell where the ball will end up when the ball lags across the strike zone.
In a football or basketball game I can deal with a little lag. But in a baseball game where timing is critical the slightest lag can be the difference in hitting a HR or being too late on a pitch.Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 03-04-2010, 06:32 PM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

I understand what you're saying about possible connection but when it says great connection I'm not gonna know til the first few pitches if there's going to be lag or not. It should show a true connection if there is an issue.Comment

Why does the other game have a behind pitcher view for online pitching and adjustable camera view for hitting and this game does not? Show kills it offline but just bought the other game to test online.Comment

Online is a true treat. Yes there is little harder timing online, but gah you guys it is fine.
I was just royals vs rays went into bot 9th down 2 scores one had butler up i figure inside fastball i got it, but i was early, can i blame lag or whatever, i mashed it jus foul. I ended up losing, it aint perfect but gah it plays a damn fine game of baseball.
Sorry for those missing outComment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - Online Thoughts/Comments
Does anyone else have problems with games not counting? I will occasionally play an entire game, get out to the lobby and my record is still the same. My game history will have the game but it will say N/A vs. N/A
thats really frustrating to spend an hour playing a ranked game and come out with the same record.
anyone else have this problem?Comment

I'm really enjoying Online, but playing randoms who are constantly sitting on Fastball is kind of annoying. Anyone who wants a game hit me up over PSN.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - Online Thoughts/Comments
The thing is I play every other game online just fine, I was just playing Bad Company 2...no lag at all.
Why does the Show have to be different? If my net connection can handle large battlefields with 20-30 people, it should be able to handle a baseball game. Seems to be on the servers end, not mine.Comment
