Set your settings in the Global menu AND Profile Menu. Then save. It should stick after that.

Russell - A man after my own heart.....if you fix this issue I will force all of my friends to buy the show!

The Tropicana freeze happens for me anytime I hit SELECT at some point around the 6th inning or later. This isn't to say that it won't happen prior to inning 6, but in all of my experiences (which is about 10 consecutive tries) it happened at inning 6 or later. I never accessed bullpens or anything, I simply hit SELECT to check pitch counts and the game freezes every time. In order to "try" to get it to happen, I was hitting SELECT after every hitter to see if it would freeze, and sure enough it eventually does. I haven't played a complete game at the Trop yet without it freezing.

Thanks for looking into this and I am crossing my fingers for a third patch where this is resolved.

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds

            HustlinOwl,

I had a quick question regarding the 25 man roster. Option 1 is the route I decided to take and so my question is.....

When deciding on my 25 man rosters for each team under 30 team control for whatever reason I'm ending up with 27 to 30 players on the MLB roster. I think it has something to do with injuries as I'm trying to replicate the real MLB season.....for example....

I narrowed the pirates lineup and pitching rotation to 25 players total. I placed relievers Hanrahan (15 day DL) and Ascanio (60 day DL) on the injured list. So....

In the lineup and pitching rotation area I have 25 total players but when I go to the manage roster screen and scroll to the MLB roster it's including Hanrahan and Ascanio giving me 27 players. Will the CPU try to fix this once I start the regular season thinking I have 27 players on the 25 man roster thus reordering rosters and cancelling out all the work I did? Or will the CPU recognize just the lineup and pitching rotation portion of the 25 man roster and leave the rosters alone? Also will the CPU try and fix the 25 man roster once Hanrahan returns or will the game put him in the minors not affecting the lineups?

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds

Franchise mode question. Sorry if this has been asked, but I honestly don't have time to dig through 31 pages.

Why do all big named players get released after the start of season 4 or 5? And then they will not be signed. I like simming through seasons and only playing a few games while building up my team of budding superstars.

Do I have to do 30 team control and deal with all that garbage?

I'm really wishing that I would have never purchased this game. It's a shame that the basics aren't even close to being worked out. It's a lemon.

When you log into Sportsconnect through the game, there is a Roster Vault where you can browse the available rosters. Click on one to download it, and the game will save it to your hard drive.

I'm new too and am able to download a roster, but when I start a season, I can't get it to start with the roster I downloaded. When it asks what rosters, I go to saved, then I load the downloaded one and go right into the season, but it's always the default rosters. What am I doing wrong?

                          Thanks

Make sure you are downloading a "real" set.
There are a lot of fake O.S. rosters out there.

My suggestion would be to manually load the roster first, then make sure to select "Current" from the list. Then check to make sure it's the correct one. Also, there is a problem where in Season or Franchise the CPU will use your 40-man roster to change up the 25-man roster once out of ST. If that's what's happening to you, then it's not the roster that's at fault, if that makes sense.
