One other question: how do you turn on instant trades in franchise mode? I don't see an option for it anywhere?

Cheers.

You can only do it when you first start your franchise. It's about half way down in the global options screen.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
The freeze only happens when accessing the bullpen by the quick menu (up button) correct? I have had no problem getting to the bullpen by pressing start to enter it. I have only played 3 games at the Trop but have not had a problem yet..Am I missing something? Or is it safe as long as you don't use the quick menu?
It seems to only occur through the quick menu. I can attest to what you've seen, no freezing after going through the start menu.Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
Quick question about the RTTS fatball thing. If I do choose to have a changeup, palmball, or curve as my starting 3, if I get all the pitches velocity as high as my FB will it be thrown at the correct velocity? I'd really hate to have to start over but I just can't stand throwing that 88 MPH fastball. Sorry in advance if this has already been asked.KB24Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
Why, when I am in Franchise Mode, does my roster get changed automatically after I finish Spring Training? I'll have pitchers and fielders placed into the starting lineup that weren't even supposed to be on my MLB squad, and it will send other better players down to sit the bench in AAA.Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
Make it stop!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, it can be pretty confusing, but it's basically this:
- During Spring Training, there are 40 guys at the MLB Level
- Once you advance to the Regular Season, the CPU automatically trims down these rosters to 25
- For some reason, this process of the CPU trimming the MLB rosters down from 40 to 25 is causing all the lineups to be reordered, even if Manual Lineup Control is ON. Doesn't matter if you are controlling 1 team or 30, any Manually Controlled Lineup will still be reordered.
There are two fixes to choose from, both of which require 30-team control and are quite tedious:
- Before advancing the the Regular Season, go through each team and set their MLB 25-man roster manually. Only 25 players can be at the MLB Level; everyone else needs to be sent to either AAA, AA, or A. You can still have 40 guys on the "40-man roster" (the "40-man" column that has "yes" or "no" next to each player), but you can only have 25 at the MLB Level.Y OR
- Advance to the Regular Season and allow the CPU to set the MLB 25-man rosters automatically. Before playing any games, go in and adjust each lineup manually.
So for these fixes, you have to pick your poison:
For option 1, you have to trim down every MLB roster to 25, but the lineups will remain in the correct order when you advance to the Regular Season.
For option 2, you don't need to worry about the 25-man roster, but you have to fix all 4 lineups for every team (which also requires fixing some players playing in the wrong position, btw).
I personally prefer option 1.
Hope this helps.Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
The player issue where your settings aren't saved when you exit out of your franchise that is not a bug. Not really explained well but it's not a bug you need to save everything to your profile as it takes precedent over everything just tab over to your profile save all your settings there.Comment
