PS loving your rosters, Twins are 7-6 in my MOM franchise
Do you mean the CPU subbed bloomquist for POdsednik at the START of the game, even though you had podsednik in the CPU starting lineup?

Thing is, he may not see any trades happen. If you sim day to day, and exit the franchise mode after each day, and go back in later (a lot of us will play a game, sim that day, then quit, and come back later and play another game), then the trade offers and proposals DISAPPEAR upon re-loading the franchise. (This has been posted in the glitch and bugs thread).

So far, I haven't found, or heard of a workaround for this, but if you play with Instant trades OFF, then it will severely limit the number of trades in season.

Interesting. Usually what I do is play a game, then "sim to date" on that day I just played, and then go check the pending transactions. So I should see them at that point it sounds like. I also think I left instant trades on, but honestly I cant even remember right now. Is there any way to check/change if i have instant trades on or off?

No, you can only set that option when beginning a franchise. You are correct in that you should see them at that point, but once you exit, and re-load, they will be gone.

I though of a way around this, though, if you are using 30 team control, with trades set to auto. Simply check the proposed trades, and write them down. Then, decide if they are realistic or not, and either accept them for the CPU teams right then, or make the trade a couple days later.

Correct, CPU rested Podsednik. I noticed it right away when they were scrolling their pregame lineup. With CPU Roster Control On the lineups will always stick unless the AI needs to rest a player due to fatigue. Even then, the lineups are ok, just not exactly as you had set them.

              Right...
Completely forgot about the save glitch.
I'm so used to simming straight through to test things.
              Good looking out.

How to create a makeshift Playoff Mode

This is an easy way to create a Playoff Mode:

                  1. Start a season controlling all 30 teams.
                  2. Season length should be 162 games, to help ensure the teams you want will make it to the playoffs.
                  3. Go to "Manage Roster" for the teams you don't want to make it to the playoffs. Edit each of their five starting pitchers by reducing their "H/9" all the way to zero.
                  4. Save!!! This is important, to save at this point... In case the sim doesn't work out.
                  5. Sim the season to the end. Having the starting pitchers edited as such in step #3 should debilitate a team enough to make them miss the playoffs. If it doesn't work out, reload your save from step #4 and reduce the "H/9" for the relief pitchers on whatever team (or teams) sabotaged the process... And try again.

                  Optional:

                  6. If you want to use the resulting file multiple times, create two save files of it and only overwrite one of them as you progress.

All in all this should take you about a half an hour to complete if you get it right the first time.

                  Enjoy!
                  All ties severed...

Maybe this FREEZE issue people are reporting is due to them using the 25 man roster in SEASON mode. It can't be used. You must use the 25 man roster in FRANCHISE mode.

Ok, I'm starting to get worried again. I am now 45 games in, near the end of may, and still have not seen a single trade proposed to me or between cpu teams.

Anybody else gone this far into a franchise season without seeing a proposed trade?

Would anyone know where I can find a Franchise walk-through. I'm doing my first 'chise since getting the game in wait of Knights new roster set; so I figure I better understand the quirks. The BIG THING is what do I have to do after spring training to the roster of the team I'm controlling. Any help would be great.

                          MT....here is what I do.
Note in the roster control area, what players are actually delegated to AAA but on the 40 man roster. Check the options they have left...because demoting them(remember...any player on the 40 "invited" to ST...who will not be on the 25 man active roster once the season starts....must burn an option or if none left pass through waivers) without an option will mean waivers for them.
If you plan on running a 30 team franchise with all options for the other teams set to AUTO...you can still make sure the CPU doesn't change anything by setting the 40 man roster to just the 25 players you want them to take into the season(do this pre-franchise in the roster editing...so you don't burn an option). You can then shoot back in when the season starts and re-assign them to the 40 man.(note...the CPU almost always chooses players from the 40 man to promote...so if you don't need "real life" 40 man rosters....you can nudge the CPU to use certain players).
Other than that....you could just let it be!

Simple, quick question. I'm starting a RTTS career. I set my sliders, using default rosters....

Is it gonna freeze up at some point? Or should I be able to complete the mode should I choose too.
