    Not sure I follow....

When you have Knight's rosters, you will want to start a new Franchise with them. You can't import them into a franchise you already have going. Sucks, but what can you do.

You'll then have to re-edit all the lineups after Spring Training since the CPU screws them up when you enter the Regular Season (even when you have them set to Manual... it's a bug.) But after that you are good to go and have the best rosters on the planet.

Any player who is not on the active roster but on the 40 man(I think it's actually any player) and in ST must use an option or clear waivers if not placed on the active roster and being sent to the minors after ST....I never realized that either until I was shown the rule by someone on here(sorry, I don't remember the thread)

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds

So I have a couple of questions for you guys to answer and Knight if you there please answer these b/c I am sure others have these ?'s

            1. I followed the workaround directions to a tee but I set all the other teams to no profile instead of creating 30 profiles, will that mean that the game will still mess with my roster?
            2. Right now I have global lineups and roster set to auto, does this mean if it freezes I just go back and set to manual and then fix them myself? Also do I then keep it on manual or can I put it back to auto and just deal with as freezes may occur accordingly?
            3. Finally this is more of a personal question, my internet is down for a couple of days (gotta love college dorm living) my roster was updated on the night of the seventh which I believe to be the march 8th roster update (mainly b/c thats what it says) so basically is this roster the latest?

            Thankyou

              Ray;

You're fine with all the other teams set to NO PROFILE. Even with lineups set to MANUAL....you can still cycle through the teams and fix the lineups/rotations.
If it's a roster problem(not enough pitchers.....or too many/few players on a level...you may have to put the sendup/down options(managment?) to MANUAL...but that might even work if set to auto. The key is 30 team control.

3/8 is the latest roster from SCEA.

Knight I'm a bit confused about lead-offs. It seems once I take a bigger lead my guy is soooo slow to return to first and always gets picked-off. Is there anyway to speed up my guys return??? I had to have been picked off 6 times in 6 games???

Also my fielders blow. So many balls go between the whicketts. Should I be sitting still on ground balls to SS or should I charge them?

I'm pretty sure it was Monday the 8th...not positive ...sorry.
Waivers are good....except remember that if you claim a player....there is the bug that doesn't have the CPU pull them back(trade waivers mostly)...so reign yourself in a little in that regard.....only if it seems "realistic"

                        Leadoffs?...I'm not a player..I manage only when I play....maybe someone or nemesis04 can help.
                        Sorry.

So basically here is how I am doing this
30 team franchise, my profile for one team and no profile for 29 teams.
Manual settings for trades, waivers and lineups
                            Auto for everything else,

Should I have a problem at all???

Also if waivers and lineups can be set to auto let me know only because by waivers being good I am not sure what you meant it's prob me not reading it right.

                              Knight,

You are the God of MLB The Show in much the same way Youkilis is the Greek God of Walks lol...thanks for this thread..I ran a test franchise last night and I love the feel of it..as for rosters I had manual control of every team through spring training and then I set the global settings to AUTO when it came to lineups/40 man roster etc..I simmed three months in and checked the lineups and they all looked pretty realistic to me...nothing crazy like I have been reading about..Cameron went down with an injury and the Sox brought up a minor leaguer to play CF..all pretty realistic stuff..I was notified of all trades...the only thing that is tough is sometimes you cant tell who is the two trading teams are..the offering team shows up if I remember...usually it is not a problem but one trade was all minor leaguers from one team and I didnt recognize them etc...but its cool...all trades are there to be accepted or denied...thanks again Knight

I do have a question though..I also like to play in Manager Mode...does it matter what difficulty the settings are when you go into Manager mode? Thanks again Knight
