In my franchise (using basically the default SCEA roster), the Phils only have one decent OF prospect, John Mayberry Jr. (B). Other than their starters, that is and Ibanez is 37.

All the rest are Cs at best.

I am using the yankees and i traded Rivera and an "A" and "C" prospect to the Rockies for Ubaldo. Is it an fair trade or did i get ripped off or did i screw them over? Thanks

You're the Yankees. Why didn't you just wait until he was a free agent and then you get him automatically. I wish the Yankees would get rid of Rivera in my franchise. He is automatic when he comes in to shut the door. That and his unique entrance make me want to give up an extra run in the eighth when losing just so I don't have to see it/face him.

If you go to the roundup screen (can't remember the exact name), you will see all the trades that happen. I go there after every game just to see the trades and roster moves. It is nice knowing that X player is on the DL right before I play them, or that Y player got traded to a team I am about to play.

Weird, Im in the beginning of June in my franchise and there still hasnt been a single trade yet between two CPU teams. Now granted Im running a 30 team franchise but the global settings have trades to auto so they should still be happening I would think. My only guess is that after each game I go in and look at the rumor mill and trading block and take players off the block that shouldnt be there, ie. Pujols, so I dont know if thats playing into it but so far, so good in terms of trades happening.

ok heres the trades rundown as of JUNE 1st:


1] Angels Acquire W. Veanble, D Tate & A. Poreda from the Padres for S. Shields, J. Pineiro & M. Napoli

2] Marlins acquire Jim Thome from the Twins for Chris Volstad

3] Rays acquire Fernando 'The Kid' Martinez & Robert Carson from the Mets for David Price

4] Giants acquire j. Cosart & V. Worley from the Phillies for G. Mota, G. Espinelli and B. Molina

5] White Sox acquired R. Gload, C. Durbin & D. Brown from the Phillies for G. Floyd & T. Pena

6] Cardinals acquire Big Papi?!?!?!?! from the Red Sox for Joe Mather.

7] Astros acquired Madison Bumgarner & Yander Alonso from the Giants for Lance Berkman.

8] Reds acquire Zach Wheeler and Henry Sosa from the Giants for Bronson Arroyo and Yonder Alonso

so it seems the giants picked up Alonso to flip him for get berkman. is alonso worth that? along with bumgarner?

No Burnett trade? I have yet to see him not get traded in any franchise test runs I did. David Price is always traded though. I think Papi is traded as well in most runs. In my franchise, Giants got Papi, so it looks like the logic for them is to acquire a big bat at first. That makes a lot of sense, especially a left handed bat.

I am really curious to see what trades happen in my second season, especially now that most good players are signed to multi-year contracts. I am not going to do any test runs this time. I play it as it happens and then will report it here.
