I give this one more year and I am honestly not sure what these guys can do with the PS3 that will improve things. They could really nail down character personalities and such I am sure you could spend years doing that. But I think 12 is really going to be the year everything comes together like nothing before.

For 11 I cannot believe the lighting model and improved stadium signs and screens. It really really does help the feel of the game. Maybe they can do more cosmetic tiny things like trees, gear, animations, etc. And pitch F/X for pitchers would be nice for 12. I can see a lot of things getting their proper refinement for 12. Anyway, it all looks great. I will be crapping myself when I play 12. Taking a break does have it advantages. Lots of surprises in store when you wait 2 years. Hope franchise is getting love for next year as well. Great work guys thanks for listening we know it's tough with all the criticism and we know it's beyond tough to nail down all these teams.
This is an interesting insight i myself had thought about a few times.... each year the series keeps getting better... and then some people listen to whats in/whats not and hear it will be in "next year" so people wait for that version..... but this is all just personal opinion... some people prefer to buy every version...(the diehard fans)

Also...I think the throw cancel is really more a by-product of being able to change your throw, rather than a feature of the analog fielding. Yet somehow, it came to the forefront of a throw feature rather than(I believe) was it's original intention.

I agree with this assessment. It is much how I felt about it as well.

Knight....did they address the issue within franchise mode where at times( I saw it when the cpu made a roster move) where a pitcher would pitch back to back games? It was rare and straightened out after the first incident, but it was still annoying.

            Thanks in advance

A good point was mentioned before, and maybe you know the answer. Is there a way to turn off the graphic underneath the fielder when using the analog controls? This way it not only looks more like a tv broadcast, but then it forces you to get used to how long to hold down the stick?

Looks like spring training games will be more important for me with practicing the throwing etc..

I thought you mentioned it as a problem with a call up or trade...where the pitcher pitched the game before(say in AAA)...then got called up and put into the rotation in the next spot up.
Was this not the case?...it was actually starting the #2 pitcher, let's say...for 2 consecutive games?

Thanks Sky...that brought up a question I forgot to ask.

Do players progress/regress in Spring Training?

thats it. Was this/can this be addressed?

Again, its not a major thing because it didn't always happen when a team made a move, but it occured nevertheless.

I told them...Kolbe said they would take a look.
Brian didn't quite understand how it could be happening....the CPU should realize his fatigue and go to the spot starter....so we'll see.

What you will notice as well is that there will be 12:00pm games, 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm and 7:00pm games (do not remember if there was the 8:00pm ESPN games). While you can not select which game time in exhibition mode (still only day/night), the lighting model allowed for realistic start times and shadow progression in Franchise with those start times. We tested it out with the lighting tech Patrick, and the 3:00pm games started with the shadow about the same spot as the 1:00pm game would be in about the 7th or 8th inning. Before anyone asks, if you play a 3:00pm game and got 20+ innings, the lights will not come on, and it will not progress into night (there is a cut off)... night games are a different lighting model still than the day games, and I was told all games after 5:00pm would use the night model. Not a huge deal, bottom line, the lighting is phenomenal, and just when you thought it could not get any better, it goes and gets substantially better.
Bummer, I thought it was confirmed somewhere else that full day/night transitions were in the game.

thanks Knight. I was hoping ST would be improved, but understand they had other priorities.

And I promise I'm not seeing things in regards to the back to back starts. If I see it this year, I'll be sure to post my franchise save file so that it can be sent to the dev team.

                                Knight...

Looking ahead, will you upload all of your MiLB players into the vault? That would seem like an enormous project in itself. Overall, I'm thrilled (ecstatic really) over the ability to do so...I can't wait when they make it available to do it in franchise mode.
