Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
I didn't see it and that's a pretty arbitrary question to just come up with while we were there.
I guess that's my way of saying..."I have no idea".
Sorry.

"Did they fix the time it gets dark during the summer...in real life it doesn't get dark in most places til about the 6th inning..but in the game it is always dark by the 4th inning. - [Answered]
The time of game also moves too slowly on the on-field clocks - [Unanswered]
There is a glitch when a base stealer reaches first base and they show graphic of steal %, etc but there are no actual figures shown - [Unanswered]
Did they fix the temp in AZ. It is not 70 degrees at night during the summer..try 100+ - [Answered]
Is it possible to show batter performance over course of season against all pitchers on opposing team (like in RTTS when you hit select) and vice versa? - [Unanswered]
in RTTS, is it possible to show near behind plate camera view when you are in away stadiums like they show when you are in your home stadium and on deck? The way the current camera is you can't see the pitcher and batter at the same time when you are in the dugout. - [Unanswered]
I think dynamic attendance can be better...did they make it more realistic. For instance, even the Yankees do not sell out every home game. And all the fans don't remain at the stadium if there is a blow out. - [Unanswered I believe]
The announcers refer to stats overlays that don't exist. E.g., announcer might say "as you can see Jeter has hit .350 over the past 2 weeks" but there are no such overlays. I also think there are more stat overlays for batters in exhibition mode than in franchise mode. Would love to see more stat overlays for pitchers too...sorry had to throw that one in." - [Unanswered but I don't think you know this one since you didn't hear much audio]
Knight, didn't expect you to have all the answers and appreciate any answers you have. Haven't bugged you about these, but the OBP and SLG % question was just driving me crazy...Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
My question wasn't specifically directed to you, but I appreciate the response. Just don't understand why the use OBP and SLG % in batter walk ups is all. These were the questions I asked you in your "two weeks" thread:
"Did they fix the time it gets dark during the summer...in real life it doesn't get dark in most places til about the 6th inning..but in the game it is always dark by the 4th inning. - [Answered]
Yes.
The time of game also moves too slowly on the on-field clocks - [Unanswered]
To be honest...I forgot to look. They might have changed it though.
There is a glitch when a base stealer reaches first base and they show graphic of steal %, etc but there are no actual figures shown - [Unanswered]
Don't know if it's fixed...but I mentioned it to them.
Did they fix the temp in AZ. It is not 70 degrees at night during the summer..try 100+ - [Answered]
Yes.
Is it possible to show batter performance over course of season against all pitchers on opposing team (like in RTTS when you hit select) and vice versa? - [Unanswered]
I don't believe this is tracked for every player in franchise.

I mentioned this to Clayton and I believe he tweaked that camera....so I think this is in.
I think dynamic attendance can be better...did they make it more realistic. For instance, even the Yankees do not sell out every home game. And all the fans don't remain at the stadium if there is a blow out. - [Unanswered I believe]
I believe they don't factor it specifically to a team....they instead use dynamic factors within the game...so let's say you make the Nats...consistent winners...year after year...they will have an increased attendance/fan base.....so it depends on how teams are doing in your franchise.
The announcers refer to stats overlays that don't exist. E.g., announcer might say "as you can see Jeter has hit .350 over the past 2 weeks" but there are no such overlays. Right...I tried...I didn't get this type of audio...and couldn't point it out.

I'm gonna say a little late now.

You still can't see both the pitcher and hitter from the dugout without moving your head with R-stick. Is that what you are asking? It's the same view, and for some reason in one of the dugouts I couldn't even turn my head. I mentioned to the devs that it would be really really nice to be able to see both the pitcher and the batter from the dugout.Comment

Hey Guys ! , I usually do not post on the board , but I do keep up with all the great information you guys provide in your threads and the variety of topics covered on this website. That being said , MLB The Show has evolved as THE GAME to have if you are a baseball fan and a gamer , I love it , period. But , there is a But! , there are two things that I'd like to be implimented more than anything , and that is the ability to grade players myself...A,B,C,D,F___ and the ability to cut and release players-Example-if said player is a free agent , better yet , if there is 345 free agents , I want to be able to cut and release these players to no end. Not swap out with a player in the free agent pool. It is my hope that someone in the know could get an answer on whether this is in this years game or in the plans for MLB The Show in the future . I think these two things are a must change for this game , just my opinion though. I just felt this had to be brought up , if not for now , at least for future releases of this game. Because it is a great game, but it fails in the abilty to do with your players as you wish. I hope this doesn't come off as harsh, because I love the game. THANKS!Lets go Mets !
How bout them Cowboys !

One little cool thing I forgot to mention is when you now let the game go into demo mode.....if you like the situation in the game..you can hit select and join in to that game in progress.

Would never have thought of this.
One more reason these guys are top notch. Now I wonder if you can also switch it back again"When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

....Knight, I could swear (have to check when I get home) that in '10 I've never seen the computer vary the length of their lead offs of more than 1 or 2 steps off 1st and 3rd (can't recall about 2nd base) base seen in the baserunner windows. Maybe I'm missing something. My concern is I'd love to get that "nervous" feeling on the mound when a speedy runner starts to get a bigger lead off, tempting me to throw over and check them. Am I missing a setting or something?Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
The thing is very small amounts of players seem to take bigger leads, even fast runners dont do it all the time. Id say they dont even do it 50% of the time.
It eventually lulls me to sleep and when someone does steal im like "crap!"
So in that regard i do think it needs tweaked a tad. Even if fast runner arent stealing they should take an extra step (or 2) more often that they do. Maybe sliders affect the leadoff amount ???Joshua:
