Ok installed the game..........its already at version1.08

Tried going online, and the servers were not availble yet(for me at least)


Questions so far.

Soriano's Stance...

For any Cubs fan that has played with Soriano, you know his stance made it real hard to see a ball coming in from a righthander....no longer the case. I will get your pic up as soon as I can........

Also people will be pleased to know that EK does not sound like he is in a closet anymore. He actually sounds pretty decent, and the game's graphics are sharper, and colors are bit more vibrant than the demo.

Also, for the gent who asked about Reds GAB, there is no paint on the dugouts or on-deck circle other then National League Ballclub and The NL symbol...

I have been to GAB 3 times, and it's very nicley done.

Question was posed what the difference in retail vs demo...

All I can say right now is the biggest difference I see is it seems to be more vibrant color wise, graphics are sharper by about 15% and Eric Karros doesnt sound like he is under your bed talking anymore. He sounds like he is in the booth with Soup and Matt.


Question - Is it worth $60, if you have last years version

Well I have only had the game for 30 minutes, but Its a resounding yes for me. The inclusion of analog, better graphics, and online enhancements make this a no-brainer. I also would mention the co-op online, and ability to have AI contolled teams in online leagues.

Its your call though, never let another person make that decision for you.

Questions - Do the Mariners hav updated photos....

I check the Nats full roster under catcher and and outfield and saw no one close to 18 years old, 6'3 225lbs. There were a couple of 18 yr old catchers, but not close to Harper at all.

Well, to me it looks great They really nailed the rich, dark blue colors of the seats and the overall look is really nice. Keep in mind I am a Cub fan, so there may be sonething not right and i wouldn't notice.

Just played 1 inning to see what jumped out at me and the one thing that I can say is the lighting!!!! Playing a day game at Dodger stadium and the game is just gorgeous.

Gameplay is really smooth and a lot of what I am seeing could be my tv is different from last year. I can see what you mean Bob about the colors. I took a second to look at the opening camera pan of Dodger stadium and DAMN!!!! it is a thing of beauty this year.

Another thing that I noticed was the pitch history seems to be fixed. I can actually see the difference in colors as opposed to the demo.

Played Homerun derby at the Rogers Center....wow, what a blast that was. Texiera hit a blast off the bottom of the CF scoreboard.

So far.......

Ball physics are just incredible

Animations are beautiful as I saw Soriano running deep into the leftfield corner, stumble and fall to the ground. I also saw Rami dive for a ball at 3rd, knocked it down, but when he got up, he kicked the ball about 15 feet away from him.

As james said, the lighting is just a thing of beauty!!

I will go out and say this. The hit variety, ball physics, and lighting are the best I have ever seen...

Just played Atl at toronto

hudson vs drabek......drabek looks real good.....stadium upgraded, HD scoreboard, turf looks better... Heyward took me deep for a 3run bomb....I have to agree ball physics are insane.

in game ticker is awesome...loving it!

make sure you clear your schedules for release day you wont wanna stop playing...its that good.

First and foremost, I want to say that I love the new layout of the front end. Its SOOOOOO much better and easier to navigate as well as look at. One of those changes that when mentioned many, like myself, will dismiss because we want to know about the meat and potatoes of the game, but I am so glad they changed it.

How's that for an opening impression...lol

it appears that the potentials have been re-done this year and there aren't as many A potential players(especially pitchers) this year vs last year.

Also, for those that play on HOF/Legend, the difficulty has been amped up quite a bit. Game is much tougher this year on those levels.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but there is a new thing under team management screen during the game called Player Ratings. It gives you instant ability to see the ratings for batter at the dish and the batter on deck. Very nice!
