Still trying to get a feel for the analog sticks. I just don't seem to have any power using analog. I've had the game now for 4 days and have not hit a HR yet

The more and more games that I play its amazing how well the player models are. Fellows you are in for a treat. Also I've had OF's lose balls in the sun on a couple of occassions Lol!!!

Getting ready to head into Yankee stadium with the good ole Dodger blue I smell an upset!!!!

I am down 1-0 to Boson in Fenway on HOF...All Analog and using the Sox broadcast came is dope

Robbie Cano stance is on point.

I have settled in on hitting from Catcher 5 and pitching from the RedSox broadcast cam.

Can some clarify something for me, correct me if I'm wrong, I remember Russ saying that each teams real pitching broadcast camera is in the game, is this correct.

That is correct. I live the Redsox one the best followed by the Twins and Cardinals. Also the braves. They all look similar but the Redsox one has a slight zoom which I love

The edits are only for pitching and hitting cams

I love how this game is so unpredictable...started my chise last night with the braves and i opened up with the nats..first game couldnt get anything going and got a measly 3 hits and lost 3-0...Strasburg shut me down....then the next game both teams pounded out 14 hits each and i lost 10-8 but it was a great back and forth game the whole time

You said for hitting too, How? Do you leave it set to hit on different views or do you use the same one all the time?

Yea you can use your own custom pitching came or leave it at broadcast so that the camera for the home team in real life is used for pitching

They do not have that for hitting cams but you can edit hitting cams as well and save it to use everytime you hit regardless of the stadium

How do you know a game is good? I just lost 7-0 in a Spring Training game vs the Marlins, in which I only banged out 2 hits. And I enjoyed every minute of it.

Quick question for those who may have dabbled in franchise mode. Have you seen the screen where you could view; transactions, promotions, and scores from the league? I have found where the transactions are located, but I miss not having the scores where it would show runs, hits, and errors and then what a particular player did for each team.

Ex:

Red Sox 4/12/0 D.Ortiz 2-3 1HR, 3RBI

I know they introduced the new ticker(not available in spring training from what I can tell), but I'm hoping they didn't remove this screen.

just found out that copying of the save file is not allowed. I do not like this because, unless there is something I'm not aware of, I have no way of backing up my save file for franchise in the event that something happens to my PS3.



So there is no confusion this is done by the PSN and not SCEA.

After a few games, here are some of my impressions:

Pros:
- Analog Hitting is much easier than the demo
- Can't get over how much fun the Analog Hitting and Pitching are
- Game is absolutely beautiful
- The lighting adds a really nice touch to the Stadium atmosphere
- The hit variety is great, I'm seeing a good mixture of everything
- Menu's are so clean and smooth now
- Haven't seen a player without an updated (current team) picture
- The jersey selection screen is sweet, hopefully they can include socks next year
- The in-game ticker is a good addition, I like to check in on my divisional foes
- Player models.....let's just say, best in sports gaming. (<-- Period)

Cons:
- I've had 9 throwing errors in a handful of games, Analog throwing is going to take practice
- Saving, Loading and Installing the game (along with the demo for that matter) times leave a lot to be desired. A minute wait loading into a game and another minute to Auto-Save after wards is too long.

Nit-Picking:
- The Jerseys are too thick. They seem as if they have been starched and do not move according to the players movement.



Of course the Pros outweigh the Cons and I have to say that I am having a blast with the game. By far the most realistic baseball game that I have played.

For now I have settled in on using catcher cam 3 for both hitting and pitching

I just do not like the graphical downgrade when pitching from behind the pitcher
