Yeah all analog except hitting. I love the zone hitting this year. All-Star was bit too arcadey for me so I went to HOF on everything and swore to myself not to give up on it.

This years game is just so much fun. Fielding, hitting, pitching, you have to focus on everything in order to win.
I'm considering that. I was just playing the ST games to get used to the controls, and it was with the stock SCEA roster, so I probably will re-boot and use Knight's STV4 rosters and get rolling again.

You sound like me with the hitting interface. I refuse to give up on Analog, even though I'm not very good at it. I feel like I am getting better and I think All-Star is a happy medium for me; Veteran was getting too easy to hit HRs and the CPU would just throw a ton of fastballs in the zone. On AS, the CPU uses more of its pitches, works the zone and forces me to work at the plate. I like the battle.

I'm doing the exact same thing.

Won 3 out of 4 since my first win.

I was worried I was seeing a power outage at default with only 6 HR's hit in 18 games but my last two games I hit 3 and 4 respectivley. The 4 HR day Texiera had 3!

I'm a little worried about base stealing though. Seems very easy. May need to adjust some attributes...

Is there anything more rewarding that having that one huge breakout game after struggling for a few games? I started 2-5 in my Cubs season. My pitching was decent but my hitting was miserable as my team BA for those 7 games was .176 or thereabouts. The first game of the Milwaukee series was especially frustrating because I kept hitting hanging breaking pitches to the warning track. I play the Garza vs Randy Wolf matchup in game 2 of that series just now and man, it was just magic. Wolf had spotty control and I laid off a lot of pitches I normally hack at. He kept hanging the breaking pitches and I just crushed them. Won 10-0 and also pitched my first complete game shutout courtesy of Matt Garza. I had to drain his energy past zero but it was totally worth it. 9 innings, 4 hits, 3 walks, 11 strikeouts. I used all of his pitches to do it and I think that was the key. His fastball is nasty on this game but I didn't rely on it too much.

          Ahhhh..........just feels so good.
