Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Tisk Tisk. I got called up to the Majors in 2012 midseason to make the occasional spot start and pinch hit. I finished the season with a .404 13 HR 27 RBI statline. I probably made about five or six actual starts during that time. During the offseason the Cubs offered me a four year deal to be the AAA starting 3rd Baseman. I figured that's all I would see for now but I was invited to Spring Training and thats where everything went south.
During Spring Training I did not make one single start but I pinch hit in 26 games. I hit a ridiculous .548 7 HR 19 RBI in those 26 games. They occasionally let me stay in and I found myself playing Catcher every once and a while which is not something I would say I enjoyed. But an entire spring training went by and I did not start once. Which is completely flawed IMO.
I went into the season with hopes that I would be able to steal the job since my stats during Spring Training weren't enough. Before I knew it it was mid-July I only had 13 total at bats. Yes, 13 total at bats in nearly four months all being pinch hits. During that time I tried talking to the manager demanding a trade or more playing time and each time they said it would be better for the organization to not trade me and that so and so were on a hot streak and I can't risk taking them out of the lineup. With that said nearly four months into the season I was unable to complete any of my advancement goals and I found myself being demoted back to AAA.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Hit my 100th strikeout in my 104th inning. 1.99 ERA. 5 Walks.
Leading league in SO, Walks, WHIP, 2nd for ERA by .02
I better get to The Show soon. Getting sick of these bland minor league stadiums :/
EDIT: After that 100th strikeout, got chosen for the Futures game. Coming in at the top of the 4th.
3 Up 3 down for me in the 4th before getting yanked. Does this help me out at all or is it just extra training points?Last edited by BwanaKuu; 03-11-2011, 10:11 PM.What would Doc do?Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I just picked up the game yesterday... finally lol
I create my 1B like i do every year and i am straight mashing. 23 HR 71 RBI with a .455 avg in AA. I just want to make it to the AA AS Game (4 games away) so i get extra points, so i dont want to get called up yet lol. I got drafted by the Marlins but as I think about it I dont want to play for the big league club because the of the park. So i hope i get traded but with the numbers im putting up no way they'd trade me. i would if i was them. So I might request a trade the day i get called up. Seems kind of silly to request a trade as a minor leaguer.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Met the 1 HR goal just before the AA All-Star Game. It was strange I was invited since I wasn't one of the top vote getters at LF. It was also strange I wasn't able to play in the game. I've also run into a problem with PSN not accepting my bank card, even though I've got plenty in the account. It means I won't be able to buy points, at least not for awhile.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Can we see transactions from around the league during the season? For instance if a trade happens were my player is not involved, or signing, call up etc. If I recall correctly there was a league roundup section last year where you could view all transactions, AA through Majors. I hope they didn't take this out.Comment

I think you can see a lot of that information after the RTTs game is over. It definitely shows player promotions after the box score.Comment

I found where it shows your team's promotions and injuries, but during the last 2 years (at least), I know there used to be a league transactions screen.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Spent the whole season in AA for the mariners. First season I batted .342 24 Homeruns 86RBI's which lead the league in all.
In the offseason I was offered the AAA start role (finally) only because the Mariners called up the AAA firstbasemen.Grinders 12 Online Franchise -Currently in Third Season, New York Giants - Season 1 Super Bowl runner up. Season 2 Super Bowl ChampionComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I don't see a league transaction screen either. At least during the season I don't.
However in the offseason a transaction section becomes available and allows you to see
All off season Player movement. Why this screen isn't available in the regular season is beyond me. Especially when it was there last year.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
So after averaging .416 with 42 homers and 120 RBI through July 21st (my actual B-day) the Marlins traded me to the Astros for Carlos Lee, at least I got traded for a good player. So now im on a terrible Astros AA team. I know im the future thoughComment
