In Rtts, my closer for the pirates seems to be stuck in AA. My stats are really good (40IP, 44SO, 0.34 ERA, no walks, 1-0 record, 3 saves) I have not even been promoted to the closer role in AA as I am STILL the setup man. The closers ahead of me have terrible stats, n when I request a promotion, the manager always says "I need to see more out of you". Any help!!!???

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Your pitching attributes are probably not equal to the AA closer or the AAA pitchers. Look at your player card and that of your contemporaries. I'd guess that's the reason. You have to work on non-advancement attributes as well as advancement ones.Work on those and you'll be promoted in no time..

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I’m having a blast with this new RTTS its great. First off I play on Hall of Fame with analog hitting and default sliders, I usually played all the other years on Legend but to quote Russell SCEA “it owned my soul” so I dropped it down. Drafted by the Twins I absolutely killed AA the first few months and the next thing I know the Twins traded me to the Angels I finished AA year hitting a whopping 379. 14 hrs. I moved up to AAA where the pitching was on another level but I felt like they really prepared me to play in the majors I finished the season well over 300 average and like 20 HR’s . In the Off season I got the message that the Angels offered me A starting spot on the MLB Roster for 2013!They gave me 2.8 mill for 1 year. Im into my 3rd series as a pro ill show Video and pic updates of my guy.
First Gamenot sure if i did that rite can someone help me with uploading videos?

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm really struggling now, i've gone into a 1-14 slump. It doesn't help that I'm still on the pineriding role either. I think i almost have this analog thing down. It's just my plate vision is a bit off, and the breaking balls are still killing me. Any help would be great. Here's my stats through 13 games.
40ABs 9Hs .225AVG 1HR 2R 5RBI .225OBP .300SLG
Please help! I'm on rookie batting for christ's sake!Comment

For a good read on hitting in this game (and some good practice exercises to get better), I think this is THE thread to read.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just go to the lineup screen or roster screen and press triangle when you have any player highlighted. Then you can cycle through a bunch of things like their stats, contract, and attributes.
Atlanta Braves - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
2 things
1: Heres an idea for next years game. As an outfielder, the camera should be behind the fielder and looking up into the sky, so it actually takes some skill to play the outfield by reading the balls in the air. I also feel that it would increase re-playability as taking flyballs would be a mini-game in itself.
2: Does it seem that the lighting in the minor league stadiums looks exactly like last years game to anyone?Comment

. I hadn't tried that button and didn't see a prompt on the screen that said how to bring up player info.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
This game is starting to make me mad. I will have perfect timing and 8 times out of 10 it will be a weak hit or a just missed and every time i hit the ball hard someone makes an amazing play. I went from hitting .375 to .230 in a month.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Before this year's game, I have not cared much for RTTS. The analog hitting and some other upgrades have really made this a mode worth playing. The points system is much better now that it is now based on the quality of your at-bat rather than simply the result.
I do, however, have a constructive criticism: IRL, I was a catcher, so naturally my RTTS player is a catcher; I like the fielding options available for non-catching positions, and if I had a lot of free time, I wouldn't mind calling the game from the catcher's POV. However, if I wanted to call pitches, I would play franchise mode. I really wish that there was an option to turn off calling pitches, enabling a fielding option for catchers based on 'other' fielding opportunities.
This criticism aside, I am very impressed with the game, and the RTTS mode!Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Got a question...
What does the contact attirubute do? Does it incrase your chances of hitting the ball with a contact swing only? or does it have anything to do with using a normal swing or power swing also?
I've mainly been increasing my power and vision in order to become a better hitter.
Let me know, thanks.Last edited by GoRaiders; 03-23-2011, 11:21 PM.Comment
