This, along with "clutch" were two absolutely horrible mistakes by the developers. Just beyond dumb.
Agreed, but ya aggressiveness can be improved more so than any other running catagory when training it usually only gets you about a point up tho... overall (Meaning if youre AGG is 44 you should be able to work in training to get it to 45)

After struggling getting walks now have 21 on the season after 371 ABs. Had 1 after 87 ABs (PS3 off, don't remember Plate Appearances #s) to start. Not great, but 21 walks in 300 or so plate appearances isn't terrible I guess. Just so weird how I went from getting nothing but strikes to now getting some walks, including 9 over the past week. As Yankees radio broadcaster John Sterling would say, "That's baseball for ya."

Looking back through this thread It's interesting to me to see how many of us wanted to build the "Ken Griffey" prototype player or 5-tool player (good in runs, average, power, rbi's, steals... And a good glove). He remains the name that most of us near 30-something's remember as the guy who could be "the best ever". For a time he was. He lived up to the hype... But he certainly fell short of the expectations. I wonder if there's ever going to be anyone like him again. If you believe the hype I could be Bruce Harper. He doesn't seem, from a very far view at this point, to be as likable as griff, but I guess time will tell.

Still, pretty interesting to see griff's influence is alive and well in 2011.

Yeah, Bryce doesn't really have the agreeableness Griffey Jr. had, but only time will tell on that one. I definitely agree though in this sense. I've tried creating a SS in the model of a young A-Rod, and a CF who would definitely be the next Griffey Jr. before settling on a player that is more like me and how I was in College/Semi-Pro and seeing how far that got me.

It's sad that the steroids thing happened, but pre-steroids Barry Bonds was even better than Griffey. Hit for power (and unlike Griffey didn't have a tiny bandbox to hit in), hit for average, had a good arm, won Gold Gloves, stole bases. And the most amazing thing, surgical knowledge of the strike zone. He was leading the league in walks while rarely striking out long, long before he had the knee injury and subsequent steroid use. For my money, pre-1999 Barry Bonds was the best.

Meanwhile, my player finally about to reach 80 speed. I look forward to the increase in speed and hitting some triples. Anybody know where in the in-game menu I can outfielder arm ratings? That would be useful knowledge in deciding how far to go as far as stretching out doubles or triples.

Yup Bonds was special. Very sad he chose to go a wrong route...

                        Hi Guys,

I have a question. Right now, I'm playing a pitcher who was drafted by the Yankees, then traded in double-A to the Padres. I came up to the MLB half-way through my 2nd-year and I'm now the MLB Ace for the Padres. I hate the Padres (no offense to your fans), they score no runs for me so I end up with a 2.32 ERA while going 10-11. I want to get traded or hit FA. How long until I get FA?

I have not signed a long-term contract, I have been going year-to-year. Do I still need to serve my 6 years of MLB service even though the Padres didn't draft me? What's the best way to get traded? At this point I don't care if I even get put on the Red Sox (Yankees fan).

Ask to be put on the trade block in interactions. It's theoretically possible to be a FA before your 6 years if the team didn't offer you arbitration, but I've never seen it happen. It would also be good if you could refuse arbitration and enter FA like you can in franchise, but I don't think you can.
