Anyone know of a fun position to do? Getting real bored of Franchise mode so why not give this a go.

Just started up my RTTS as a CF and got drafted by the O's.

I have played in 3/6 games so far the O's AA team is 1-2 without me and 2-1 with me. In three games my dude is hitting .333 4-5(just saw it and now can't remember -_-)/12, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 4-4 SB. Pretty good start i think, plus i have three of my 4 goals done.

Looks like I need to work on sliders or something. I just finished a June where I hit under .200. All attributes (except power and bunting, which are all in the 50 range) are 99. I don't know what my BABIP is, but luck is absolutely insanely bad. Almost literally anything I hit over an infielder gets caught. Looks like 50 power is purgatory in RttS. Not quite powerful enough to hit dingers, but enough to drive outfielders to catches at the track and turn all line drives into outs. Only hits I get at this point are groundballs between 3B and SS and between SS and 2B. I've had the pitcher gets hit and then throws me out play happen 20+ times in the month of June, so up the middle isn't any good either.

That play drives me absolutely crazy. Definitely happens WAY too often, and is absolutely infuriating when you're in a slump. You drill one, figure it's a good solid base hit (FINALLY!), only to see it deaden right when it hits him, and it's an easy out.

That play, as well as the hyperspeed windup when you're trying to steal, are my biggest pet peeves, gameplay-wise, by far.

And the hyperspeed tag at second or third during pickoffs and steal attempts.

It's worse when you drill him in the head with a liner up the middle and still get thrown out. One would think if you hit the pitcher in the head, you would be safe because everybody would be in shock.

Ok, there is something about this game that is driving me crazy. I have made it to the show and am the starting 3rd baseman. Our offense is by far the best in the majors, but our pitching gives up like 10 runs a game. Just finished a game losing 17-7. That is the norm. Does anyone know how to adjust the settings to where my team isn't getting killed every single game. It doesn't matter how well our offense does because every one of our pitchers is sitting with an ERA above 8 and I can't figure out how all of the pitchers on my team are that bad. Makes me feel like I might have the settings set to where the opposing teams offense is just 10 times better when they play us.

Reminds me of the Indians team I was on. Bud Norris was the ace and we gave up so many runs. Felt like I was carrying the team but always getting let down. Sucks man, adjust the difficulty and sliders for the CPU, maybe that will help.

I created my guy and entered the draft and was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers....just finished my first game against the Jacksonville Suns and I went 2-4 with 1 strikeout.

I'm playing on rookie for now with the HUM sliders adjusted in my favor so I can get readjusted to playing and get better at the game.

I absolutley hate this game mode. I've played this game since 2008, every single year i've chosen to play for the Phillies..and every single year I get traded two months into my minor league career. And EVERY SINGLE YEAR it's to the Athletics..EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!! I don't want to play 5 seasons for the *** **** Athletics so I can get to free agency. Why the hell is there an option to choose your organization if every single year you get traded before even getting the promotion to AAA!??! What a waste of time....I've never been so upset with a video game, I spend so much time playing these games out with the hopes I can freaking have my virtual player wearing my home team's uniform, but this stupid GM logic will NOT allow me to do so..4th game, 4 years, I have yet to even play for the freakin Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, let alone the Phillies..I've officially given up on this game mode it is just down right terrible. MLB The Show is by far the best baseball game ever made, but it's really disapointing to get the same stupid AI logic year after year.

By the way the genius trade that was made...

A's Get - Me(SP), Ross Gload(37 year old pinch hitter)

Phillies Get- Gio Gonzalaz, Hideki Matsui, Kurt Suzuki.

Seriously??? Where is this "improved GM logic"

Batting average keeps tumbling for a second month in a row now as almost literally every line drive I hit is caught. This is getting beyond "slump." I think the save game might be corrupted. I'm hitting the ball hard, getting "good at-bat" and high points, but my AVG (and thus, OBP) continue to plunge. I've tried slowing down fielders a bit but it has made no difference. All my line drives go directly at fielders.

Oh, the "Advancement Goals" when you're already an established ML starter...

I've been getting pretty ridiculous advancement goals all season. Started off the season hot, so I hit them all in the first eval. period. Only got the ratings ones in the 2nd. In the 3rd, got really hot again, and with 6 games left, I was 6 bases shy of my total bases goal, and 4 walks shy of the walks goal. Wouldn't you know it, I get in a huge slump, go 2 for 24 in those next 6 games, and miss the bases goal by 3, and the walks goal by 3. So, I get the "you've been warned" email for only getting 2 out of 4 goals for the second straight evaluation period.

My next advancement goals are the typical ratings ones, and then the beloved "Fielding percentage of .997 or better", followed by getting 16 or more RBIs, in the next 4 series. (Keep in mind, I've only got 32 RBIs in about 81 games thus far (leadoff hitter). So they're telling me to get half of my season total in 12 games?? Yyyyeeeahhh.....)

So basically, I could theoretically go into the All Star break in the top 10 in batting average in the majors, with double digit home runs, and possibly even make the All Star game.... but be benched because of not achieving these goals.
