Yeah I did that, but if you go to the disabled list, it doesn't bring up your team rosters so that you can select and player and edit. Last year, there was a third option to actually put the injuries in yourself.

This year according to the description, there's just Manual, MLB Only, and Auto, and manual is the manual option to put an injured player on the disabled list or not. It's not to actually edit the injuries in.

If you're seeing a "MLB Only" option, you're not changing Injuries, you're changing Injury Options. When in Franchise, go to User Settings. Then go to "Gameplay Options" (top of the list), not "Mode Options". Scroll down to almost the bottom, where there's Injuries, Ejections, Auto Save, Vibration. Change Injuries to Manual, then you can go to Disable List and assign injuries.

I can't confirm, but my assumption is that it all runs on one engine, and that engine has some serious issues.

Being older and wiser now, I finally decided not to get a game at launch just to let it sit around and collect dust while these issues are supposed to be resolved. I don't buy into these "workarounds". These games should work properly out of box with default settings.

Why do developers spend all this time adding new features, improving graphics, etc. when there are CORE issues that are carrying forward year in and year out? I guess in the end, it's about money, and fancy new features and pretty graphics sell. I'll take 09' graphics if I can get a game where things realistically progress from year to year.

Now I'll have a whole year to wait and hope that '12 can do it right.

I don't have much time anyway. I'm going to be doomed when a sport game can actually put it all together and create multi-season type mode that doesn't present tremendous bugs. My last mistake was with college football. That game had a problem where FG kickers that were recruiting couldn't kick FGs, and would miss XP with a much higher % than normal.

I just don't get it sometimes....

Here is my question, will guys like Vladimir Guerrero be signed before the season or will they sit in Free Agency the entire season? I know about the '13 issue but what about the 2011 season?

In my testing so far...first two seasons are fine(second even better than first)...it's the third off season things get ugly...this is WITH training for teams ON.
I'm seeing much less of a problem with training off....now I just have to test how it is with different potentials(less A's B's) on the starting roster(thank God for the ability to swap out players now)

So it looks much like last year...

I've PM'ed Kolbe, just to see what's what ....
Somethings up(other than the obvious)...because there is no way he makes that thread if he didn't see these problems fixed in his late in the cycle changes.

Disappointed...but hoping.
Perhaps this is something that can get patched...we'll have to wait and see I guess.

It all depends on what causes the 2013/14 free agent bug. Sure, if it is a logic/AI issue then it should show up in any mode where multiple seasons are simulated.

If it is an issue with training, then it might not show up in RTTS, just franchise.

I'm still freakin' Knight! This better be fixed since it was there last year. The workaround may still work with turning training off but we shouldn't have to do that.

I don't get Russell stating it was fixed months ago and it came back. That's puzzling. I hope this is resolved with a patch soon. I can't wait for your rosters and hoping the fix is there when you're finished with your initial set.

I have a lot of respect for the Dev team but this is very disappointing. How did this slip through the cracks again? This should have been at the top of the list of thing to address. Kinda wishing I didn't spend the 60 dollars on a game that has a massive flaw in the only game mode I play. Cannot take another year of controling all teams. Don't they test these things? I mean just send me the game two months early and I will have aist prepared of all the issues. And if its the truth that one of the Developers wasnt even aware of the 2013 bug.. very concerning. After 4 years running, if this is not fixed, will definitely be my last year

I agree this is a bit surprising but Russell stated this could be fixed. How? I would assume with a patch. He posted back on page #4. He also stated this was fixed months ago but somehow came back and was found by users when the game released.

I don't understand how that could happen but I'm not a game developer either. It's just puzzling for me to understand how that could happen if it was fixed.

It's not that hard if you just use 30 team control and set everything except training to auto. It's then like controlling only one team with the rest of the teams doing everything automatically (assuming you didn't assign a profile to any of them).

I would like the option to actually use training but this is not a gamebreaking bug.
