Would any of you trade Felix Hernandez for Albert Pujols straight up? I'm torn on what to do? I alreadyhave Justin Smoak at 1B, but I was thinking I could move Pujols to 3B. Then my only concern would be resigning him. But I really don't want to give up King Felix though. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Gonna start a 'chise with the Royals.
Dont know too much about KC, but its obvious i need bullpen help. Is it realistic to get above-average pen help using Melky,Lucas May or Francouer? Just trying to keep it realistic as possible.
Any suggestions?Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I don't really see the dilemma. You have a ACE in Hernandez who could bring you a nice package of prospects and MLB-ready players...if you decided to move him. On the other hand, you have a unsigned, soon-to-be FA, Albert Pujols who will likely be the biggest FA since ARod hit the open-market about a decade ago. Why would you even question whether or not to do the trade? It's a poor move if you do it. Plain and simple. You could get soooo much more for Hernandez and you would control those guys for a longer term than you would Pujols.Last edited by Claymaker52; 03-28-2011, 11:40 PM.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
That's far too much imo...Morales AND Pineda? No thanks.
Morales is a perfectly suitable at first base. And though his defense isn't nearly as good as Gonzalez, he's not far behind offensively. And there's no way I'd give up Pineda, he'd be an untouchable for me as an M's fan.

Why would you give up the best pitcher in baseball, hell hes only 24 and getting better, you can sign posistion players in the off season, right now the M's are rebuilding and are centering the team around Felix.Ducks, Mariners, Blazers, Lillard, Favre, Iverson, Griffey, Hernandez, Hawks, Wilson,

I traded Hochevar or Gordon (can't remember which) to Boston for Beckett and Jenks. Francouer has some value May has almost none and Melky is A pot as a B so has great valueComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I would load up on "A" potential pitching prospects (ask for two) and then ask for a ML-ready position player and another "A-B" position prospect. I would focus on the middle infield and CF as those are the defensive positions where you want to be the strongest.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Seems to me that you just want to make a trade to make a trade. It is not unheard of for a team to trade it's best player to acquire a boatload of prospects in return. I just think you are going about it the wrong way.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Is it 2 A prospects or 2 prospects because Jurrjens and 2 B prospects or even 1 A 1 B worth it hugely. If it is two A potentials then slight gain but who would you replace Jurrjens with in the rotation? Plus you have a pretty good outfield in Prado McLouth Heyward where would you put Upton? I guess in left but then all you got was a medium upgrade in the lineup and defensiveley plus good bench but you lose medium on future and rotation. So I'd say yes but see if you can get a C overall/C potential pitcher from the D-Backs too to take Jurrjens place for a while while you develop Tehran or some one.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Looks like your saying 2 A pot prospects, if thats true I'd say no trade. SP's are too valuable. Now if you could get a A or B pot sp prospect then yes do it. Ike is right your OF is good already. I think Upton might give you more speed. I would try to get Stephen Drew. I wish Castro was around for the 2003 NLCS Game 6. Stupid Bartman and Gonzo.Brian Kelly will have ND back this year.
Arizona State will bounce back this year too.
The Cubs will end the streak next yearComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
i pulled the trade, Jurrjens with an RF Ramirez and a C pot prospect.. i tried before opening day and i didn't go, but i tried again because Heyward broke his arm and it went through.. i did it because when Chipper retires, i plan on moving Prado to 3rd and in game J. Upton has a better contract
