Knight, I know you said break and velocity don't progress. Is it a waste to hire coaches who gives pluses to those attributes?

You know...I don't know if you get a benefit WITHIN the season from that(as opposed to it being non-progressive season TO season when "regular" progression occurs)....I'd have to keep an eye on that to see if you get an IN season boost with coaches.

Ok, thanks. I have noticed you won't get any good coaches with no minuses unless you go into the Hire Coach screen with the other teams and fire some of their good coaches. There aren't any managers on the other teams with no minuses, though.

Ok, so are injuries supposed to happen on their own with 30-team control ON?

Can someone help me with viewing replays? I have saved about 15 replays in my franchise, but I can not figure out how to view them.

                Thanks!

Yes, if you have injuries set to ON...not MANUAL or OFF(obviously)

Hmm... I haven't had one injury and haven't seen any kind of trading done by the CPU.

Are you guys doing the cpus disabled list work? Im not, im wondering if I should start. Reason being, I went through the other 29 teams pitching rotation and it was totally scrambled. (i.e. Luke Hochevar in long relief setup). Any tips?

Sorry if this has been addressed.

If Roster Control is on, Trades and Injuries will be disabled. Check to see if you have Roster Control on.

Its OFF, there are trades (one today actually) and injuries. Case in point, Houston traded for RP Grant Balfour, he was in their starting rotation.

Very good reliever, should excel in setup duty.

A #2 or #3 starter with some upside

A notch below ace status, but not too far below.

The equipment is there, should help out of the pen

Loads of potential, if harnessed he'll be a star

The talent is there, should get a chance to do setup work

Superb stuff, will thrive as a middle reliever or as a setup man

The talent is there for him to be an All-Star.

                              Future Star, possible Superstar

The potential is here for stardom.

                              C potential position players

He'll be a productive player with limited upside

Gobs of talent, should make a terrific regular

A solid talent, he'll help most teams

                              C potential pitchers

A nice pitcher to have for middle relief work

Solid middle reliever with above average stuff

Very capable pitcher, good #3 guy

A solid talent, he'll help most teams

                              D potential position players

Occasionally brilliant, but also plagued by inconsistancy

Can help out in spots, maybe in a platoon role.

Could be a decent regular, nothing more.

Talent is good, but frustrates managers with lack of inconsistancy.

                              D potential pitchers

His stuff isn't great, will occupy a non-essentail bullpen role

Posesses average stuff at best, needs some luck to be succesful

                              Your garden-variety middle reliever

His stuff is nothing special, may still help out of the bullpen

He can eat innings, but he'll probably never be above average

Needs a new pitch to stay in the rotation

He'd be happy with a career as a #4 starter

                              F Potential-All

Good for mopup duty, and that's it

There are always diamonds in the rough, but he is not one of them

His future could be as a reserve

                              Starting regularly probably won't happen

Probably shouldn't be used in key situations

An average #5 starter, not much else.

I have LINEUPS set to MANUAL in my 30 team control franchise, but as soon as I finish Spring Training the lineups get reset by the CPU...how do I stop this?
                                Two ways...
One...is to wait until after Spring Training to set the lineups...If you do it on Day One of the season ...they will stay. The CPU will still sub for fatigue...so keep that in mind.
The other is to set the MLB rosters for each club on the last day of Spring Training.
If you go into each teams roster on that last day and demote the 15 players you don't want on the CPU teams(make sure those guys are not in a lineup/rotation!).....then the lineups will stay. It is when the CPU must demote/cut a player that this happens.
                                The same goes for rotations.
If I chose the option of doing it on the last day of spring trainning, is it before I play my last game or after (right before I select advance to the regular season)?
