Re: MLB '11 The Show: Tips and Work Arounds
Sorry I shouldn't have used 'before' twice... Let me spell out the scenerio...
1) I load my franchise
2) It's the last day of spring training
3) I make all the necessary roster moves and lineup changes for all 30 teams
4) I play my last spring training game
5) Once the game is over, I advance to the regular season
Is this the correct order? I just don't want to spend a hour making changes to have it all undone. ThanksMadden Breakdowns Full YOUTUBE Playlist

Re: MLB '11 The Show: Tips and Work Arounds
Yes....as long as you send down the 15 players for each team...ones who are not in any lineup...you should be good to go. It's when there is a player in a lineup who is sent down creating a must fix for the CPU or (of course) 40 players on the "active" list that forces the CPU to make a decision(even if it's just ONE extra player...the CPU must "fix" it)

Re: MLB '11 The Show: Tips and Work Arounds
I still see the franchise bug workaround "post-patch" on the front page. Was it not completely fixed or am I mistaken?Comment

Free Agent?
If so....ignore budgets or no training if you plan on getting 5 years into your franchise.

Edit: Does that help the ridiculous trades as well?Comment

Re: MLB '11 The Show: Tips and Work Arounds
Make a profile(BEFORE YOU START YOUR FRANCHISE) that has the options you want but making sure that training is set to MANUAL.
When you start your franchise.....give that to the teams.
It solves the FA bug and unlike budgets off...it keeps some teams from getting STACKED either through trades or FA acquisitions.

Re: MLB '11 The Show: Tips and Work Arounds
Heh... reminds me of what I do to my Redskins every time I fire up franchise in Madden... so much money for so little talent. I had skip buying it a couple years back because I couldn't ditch the players I wanted to because they would be over the Cap. Obviously not a problem (cap) in The Show... but still, same idea.Comment

Re: MLB '11 The Show: Tips and Work Arounds
I thought the franchise issue was fixed in the latest patch. Do I still have to turn budgets off, or is the game fine to play with deafult settings.Comment

Re: MLB '11 The Show: Tips and Work Arounds
But you either have to go budgets off or no training to avoid the FA issue.
