Yes we can use training in franchise and if you choose to set manually you can or use Auto training now that the 2014 franchise glitch will be patched.

Can you set manual injuries and still get random injuries?

Also, Knight (or anyone) can you post the workarounds that we had last year to get correct lineups for CPU, correct 40 man rosters, and still see CPU trade with each other?
Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

Are you serious? Many posters use CHISE in short for franchise. If you know anything about baseball games then you'd know this is readily used to represent the word 'franchise'.

You're making a big deal out of 4 dang letters missing? That's just too picky dude! I'm stopping with that before this turns into more than what it needs.

Ok great news! Is the set you posted the most recommended settings for training?

So if I'm understanding correctly, as long as I set all the computers lineups (with 30 team control) AFTER spring training, the computer won't mess with them during the season?

Or, do I have to do the 40 man roster workaround where I take 15 guys off the 40 man?

Either or, as long as it's after spring training.

                Two ways...
One...is to wait until after Spring Training to set the lineups...If you do it on Day One of the season ...they will stay. The CPU will still sub for fatigue...so keep that in mind.
The other is to set the MLB ******s for each club on the last day of Spring Training.
If you go into each teams ****** on that last day and demote the 15 players you don't want on the CPU teams(make sure those guys are not in a lineup/rotation!).....then the lineups will stay. It is when the CPU must demote/cut a player that this happens.
                The same goes for rotations.

I have a couple questions about controlling lineups/rotations.

If I set injuries to auto, and linueps/rotations to manual, will I need to a**ust minor league lineups for the 29 other teams?

If I have to a**ust minors lineups, is it possible to have injuries only occur at the MLB level?

What settings do I need to be able to do this?

Yes...but it will tell you what lineup needs ***ing(it will say the team level)...if you hit auto for that...I don't think it changes any MLB lineups. That's the only thing I can think of for what you've described you want.

Ok, I thought that would be the case. So when I get the pop-up saying XX team has an invalid lineup/rotation, it will say whether it is for the MLB/AAA/AA team. If it is MLB, I hit 'ok' and go change the lineup/rotation. If it is AAA/AA, I hit 'auto' and it will *** ONLY THAT lineup/rotation.

Also, is it still the case where teams will not promote/demote unless there is an injury?

Yes....this "should" be changed next year..but for now...only injury.
....AND...the lineups were like that last year for CPU fixing....I'm guessing it didn't change.

Just a quick question and it may have been answered already, but could someone not post a franchise file with all the lineups/40man/injuries and what not already done or will it not allow you to do that with franchise files?

I started a Franchise, added 220-day injuries to Wainwright and Strausberg, set INJURIES back to ON, and simmed through the preseason and the first 3 days of the regular season. At that point, the Cards and Nats had still not placed these players on the DL. They were on the bench with 6+ month injuries. Is there a way to have them place injured players on the DL without doing a 30-team Franchise?
Yeah, I ran into the same thing trying to run a "single team controlled" league. I played until the Mets (Santana), Nats (Strasberg), and Cards (Wainright) had all played 5 games thus going through the rotation one time. None of the cpu controlled teams put the injured players on the DL. The teams are running with only 24 players being able to play and the injured guy taking up a roster spot on the MLB team.

I injured the three pitchers on the last day of ST. You would think the cpu would have recognized this when it shuffled the roster to get down to 25 players for the regular season.

As far as I could tell this is just the way it is with no way to get these guys on the DL. I ended up restarting a 30 team control league. Not ideal but appears one has to decide what he wants more. Lineup, rotation, injury control, or trade logic and ease of playing a one team league.

Unless of course someone here has found a way to get these guys on the DL in single player mode.

How do you hit HRs and line drives? I ALWAYS, EVERY SINGLE PLAY, even with timing PERFECT, hit JUST ground balls, and barely ever fly balls. How do I hit line drives, and HRs? I have both contact, power, and balanced hitters, and I'm not seeing ANY results.

Here's a tip on how I extend players on 1 year deals to long term deals in franchise.I did it on the 1st day of spring training:

                                1. Load your roster(Knight's)
                                2. Go to Roster Control
                                3. Go to Player Movement
                                4. Pick the player you want to switch(I used Drew Stubbs)and a bad player in one of the 3 FA lists. Put your player in FA and the bad player on your roster.
                                5. Press square to auto fix the roster before you leave roster control. You may have to fix lineups later.
                                6. Save the roster once you've put all the players you want to re-sign in FA (i called mine R.
                                7. Start a new franchise with the R roster(or whatever you want to name it)
                                8. Go to FA once your franchise starts. Cut the bad player and sign your player in FA. Drew Stubbs was in FA and I was able to sign him to a 6 year, 17.88 million dollar deal.
