    ^great idea!^

    On another note,

Is it just me or does it seem like the CPUs avg is too high with 2 strikes? I was looking at mlb.com and the league average on 2-2 is under .200 and the league average on 3-2 is a bit higher; I believe. MLB hits around .300 with all balls in play.

CPU seems to hit about .400 on 2-2, and .450 on 3-2 against me. Is this just my perception or does anyone else notice this?

(also, I only walk about 1 batter per game. I am super aggressive on the mound; about 65% strike ratio. I wonder if I drop that down to 59%, this problem would go away)

I think it most likely will...I tend to walk 2 to 3 batters a game (unless I'm using Justin Verlander, where I rarely walk anyone) I usually try to get ahead 0-1 every time, then I will nibble a little bit. With Verlander, I can get away with it...not so much with the Tiger's other starters.

As for the high batting average with 2 strikes for the CPU......I don't see it so much, because I NEVER EVER throw a 0-2 or a 1-2 pitch in the strike zone (at least not on purpose) the CPU hitters will chase these pitches about 30% of the time.

If you get ahead in the count 0-2 or 1-2, try to get the hitter out on a pitch out of the zone, because even if they do make contact, it will be a weak hit, or a tapper foul.

Does anyone know how to fix the glitchy 3/4 sleeve option. It gets really annoying after awhile...

Quick question about manual lineups... I am having problems with the linueps sticking, not in or right after spring training, but after the season is a month or so in. I believe it comes along with cpu demotions, injuries, etc. Is there anyway I can alleviate this without full control? Or is it just that I will have to monitor this everytime someone is called up, demoted, or injured/come back from injury for the cpu? It would nice if manual lineups also had the mlb only option, because it gets frustrating having to reset the minors too.

If you are talking about the fact that pitchers who have it set as an option end up with long sleeves instead on colder days, then there is no fix. Hopefully 12 offers sleeve options for cold weather in their accessories next year. People have been unhappy with the sleeve thing for several years now.

If you have roster moves set for the CPU to take care of them...then you will have to re-adjust lineups as well.
You should get prompted if you have them set to manual.

Actually, that is not what I am talking about. Go into a game and bat from any of the catcher views. Now if the pitcher has a 3/4 sleeve option on, the sleeve gets all glitchy and you can see straight through to the skin. It gets really annoying after awhile. Pitchers with this sleeve option include Roy Halladay and Tim Lincecum. So go play a game with one of those guys pitching and bat from one of those views and you will see. I can't stand it...

Oh, okay...I get you. Yeah, that's been around for awhile too....it almost flashes in and out, messing with your vision. Same deal here though, unfortunately. No fix for it on our end...it's something SCEA will have to address.

I know it's been brought up in the past, but you might want to toss it in the bugs/glitches (if you haven't already). Maybe they'll get it fixed for 12.

I control all 30 teams and have just entered the first (2011) offseason. I was excited about the free agent class with Pujols, Fielder, Reyes, K-Rod, etc. However I am having difficulty with these guys making it to the open market. I want them all to hit the open market and I would have the teams that more than likely would compete for them this offseason make offers and see which team they choose. However, no matter what I have their current team offer them, they seem to accept it before the 5 th day of exclusive negations is over. Above that, some even sign without a notice going out. I got to the 6 th day thinking Pujols didn’t resign with the Cards so I went to the Rangers or Angels page so they could make him an offer but found out he wasn’t on the free agent list. Sure enough when I went to the Cards page and looked in the Players Progression he along with Wainright, Carpenter and the rest of the Cards free agents signed. I had no clue. I low-balled the Cards offer to 3 years 7 million per year but he still resigned. Any way to make sure this doesn’t happen? Roster moves including free agents and trades are set to Manual.

Did you actually remove the offer? I'm pretty sure you can do that.

That's true. however, if I withdraw an offer to an A or B class free agent the day after I offerthem a deal (assuming they dont take the offer right away) and wait until day 6 when they are on the open market to make them a second offer, will their current team still get a draft pick if they sign with a new team? Or does an offer need to be on the table during the 5 day exclusive negotiating window to A and B Class free agents in order for their current team to get draft picks?

tbarnes19 does this I believe...he changes the FA signings to manual for the CPU teams and doesn't make an offer until there is 1(or 2?) days left on the exclusive period....he then puts it back to auto and some guys sign..others will go(and the team gets the picks)

I'm in a 30-team franchise where I'm the Phillies and the other 29 teams are CPU. The problem I have comes at the end of spring training.

Example: The computer automatically places guys like Bryce Harper and Mike Trout on the MLB roster, even though I don't have it set up that way in my roster file. When I go to move them down to AAA or AA, they make me use 1 of the 3 options.

How can I move them down without using an option.

I worked out the FA signings, thanks. But now I'm in Feb and most teams seem to have no minor leaguers signed. I offered arbutration and new contracts to most minors but they dont appear to be signing. Will they sign, or will the CPU make sure the 40 man rosters and minor are filled? Do I need to give the CPU roster control to make this happen? Thanks.
