    Thinking about this has made me think of one more thing.

    When in Franchise/Season if you are resting a player and then use them as a pinch hitter in a game, they don't get back much energy, and it seems to me this should be tweaked especially if they just went up and struck out.

      [EDIT] Actually you can until you use up that last bench non-pitcher, after that point the substitution option is grayed out from all menus.
      Didn't you have to then pitch with the pitcher though?

          has the change up pitch been improved /tweaked down for more realism? it kind of floats and stalls a bit too effectively for too many pitchers, it's a bit cartoonish in its flight path to the plate. Except for the handful of masterful pitchers that really do have the CH as his out pitch, it's a much more effective pitch for too many pitchers to the human eye/batter than it should be.

          as already mentioned on the first or second page, can base runners with a lead get the heck back to the bag in normal response time instead of the quicksand lag? I'm pressing the button on the controller to get my runner back to the 2nd base bag like crazy but the lag is like 2-3 seconds before it responds.

            That's what I do. It actually presents a nominal increase in challenge as well as some gaffes randomly throughout a season.

            There is one bug with it however and that's something I've asked them to address and have my eye on... but I understand the point and see what options there are. It's part of the reason I turn it off anyway.
            Yeah, I've played with it turned off, but the combination of the big grey Catch Region and the auto-suction "molasses pit" where the animation takes over and catches it, sort of resulted in too little user input/control over fielding for my tastes. Not that the suction/auto-catching is better with the spinning baseball, but at least you know where the ball will land.

            Anyway, that's just my preference. I think the fielding suction bothers me more than just about anyone (including the devs; I think it's a design choice and don't know that we'll be getting "manual" fielding anytime soon)... so it goes. But it would be nice to have an actual SPOT where the ball will land (which is not a huge spinning baseball) and actually have control over your player landing ON that spot to make the catch... rather than just being in the grey region and automatically having the CPU take over your player when you get within 6 feet of where it will land. I guess for me the two issues go hand in hand.

              Explanation:
              Zone Hitting: In previous games, you are unable to move the PCI instantly after pressing the swing button. In the heat of a pitch and swing, this results in a lot of failed swings. The PCI would often still be in the middle of the zone, because my right thumb happened to press the swing button milliseconds before my left thumb moved the analog stick. I'd like to know if this has been changed this year, as I'd like to see this changed, so that the "lock" only occurs shortly before the batter actually swings the bat. In other words, you'd get about another second or so, as the batter prepares to swing, where you can still move the PCI.


              2. I'd like to know if fielders are now free of the "speed bursts" and "vacuum gloves" that have shown up in previous years.
              I am also curious about this one. I like how MLB Power Pros, BobbleHead Pros, and Yakyuu Spirits handles the PCI and swing.

                Can we have pitchers pinch hit or pinch run for another pitcher without having to have that substituted pitcher pitch the next inning? Well that sounds confusing.


                Example: Let's say it's in the 12th inning and Jason Motte is coming up to bat. I really do not want Jason Motte to hit because we have the winning run on 2nd. I need to pinch hit for him, but I have used all of my bench players, so I must use a better hitting pitcher. I bring in Adam Wainwright because he can hit. The man grounds out ending the inning with the game still tied.

                In 11 the Show: Since Adam Wainwright is considered a pitcher instead of a pinch hitter, he now goes into the game and is forced to pitch to at least one batter.

                Was it fixed so that he is considered a pinch hitter and is able to be taken out and not forced to pitch to at least one batter?

                  1) Is it possible to turn off the ball cursor using pulse pitching?

                  2) Is it also possible to turn off the reticle when selecting your plate width location using analog pitching (with the ball cursor set to off), as well as the plate width lines themselves when turning off the strike zone?

                  Examples of both:

                  - Since the pulse follows the ball cursor location when you move it around, if pulse pitching had the ball cursor turned off, the pulse ring graphic would instead just stay in the middle of the strike zone, no matter where you move the ball. Once you have timed your pulse, the pitch would then go according to where you placed your hidden ball, with the appropriate pulse ring circumference based on your timing.

                  - I touched on this in an earlier thread when asking for improvements with analog pitching, but it was a matter of figuring out how to still use the analog facet of analog pitching whilst still turning off the graphics (if you so chose the option) when selecting pitches. So, I proposed a solution. If you turn off the strike zone, the analog pitching meter should not show strike zone plate width lines at all. If you turn off the ball cursor, the reticle's width location should not appear on the analog pitching meter until you've actually begun your pitch. That way, it was technically hidden while you selected your pitch, and then you can still use the analog facet as it shows up afterward.

                  So I just wanted to know if this showed up when you used these specific options.

                        Can we play the game with just the Move controller? I was afraid I might have to buy the navigation controller as well when I heard Move was fully integrated now, but the video seems to show only the Move itself being used.

                              I know most people probably dont care to much about the batting cage, but I find myself in there hitting 200 baseballs for the fun of it. Could you check and see if you can assign more then one hitter to the cage. I have always thought it would be cool if you could pick like 2-4 players to hit, like in homerun derby.

                              It is akward to have a guy hit 20 pitches, then have to go out of the mode to pick another hitter.

                                unless i've been doing something wrong, ea. time i load MLB the show, i have to go to my sliders and pick my slider set, and LOAD it. then i have to go to my rosters, click my roster, and LOAD that too. Still have to do it in '12?
