    I always thought this aswell.

Most throws to first base really are either too high or to low. More throws to the chest area would be very nice to see.

I get tired of seeing my first basemen having to stretch for everything so much.

Has there been any tweaking to the multiplayer system? Even on All-Star baseball 2003 you could pick the specific positions that P1, P2 and the CPU would control. Makes the game a lot more fun imo.

Do catchers still do that random pump fake like motion when your team is pitching. It doesn't happen all the time, but it was random seeing the catcher about to throw it back to the pitcher, then he just doesn't.

In MLB12, that pump only appears if your catcher's name is Mackey Sasser. jk

That pumping itself isn't annoying, it's realistic when that happens, but not being able to skip by pressing X that is annoying.

Sony needs to add a few new Catcher throwing back to the pitcher animations If we had like 3 or 4 new ones and they all were random it would be great because it would not make it seem that the catcher is a real human and not a video game.

MLB The Show has had the same Catcher throwing back to the pitcher animations for like ever. And its time for some new ones. It just needs some added variety. I think the pump fake animation happens too often.

If they add some new ones it will make the game feel that much fresher

Are there foul tips into the catchers glove for outs this year?

For Hitting, do you have to push up and to the left/right depending on the location. I never did this and I still had a fair amount of success. If this factor plays a bigger role in the amount of success you have, I will probably have to go to timing or zone because for me it is not possible to time the pitch and aim, especially on breaking balls.
I'd like to piggyback off this. With the addition of zone analog hitting, is default analog more timing based? I hit from the behind-the-pitcher view, and I believe in '11 it doesn't take that into account when determining how to swing inside/outside. I still have some success hitting with analog, but any changes would be nice to know about. Thanks!

Here's a random question that just came to me: Has anything been done differently with Balks this year? Are they still exclusive to humans? I leave them turned off because I don't like the idea of a feature that only affects me and not my opponent.

I think the balk feature was introduced mainly to deter online player from pitching too quickly (called quick pitching, a manner despised by many), giving hitters no time to think.

Offline, if balks have any effect on running game, it may be meaningful to tweak the feature, but the fact is they don't right now (I think). So for offline games it's entirely okay to turn off the feature... at least that's what I think..

EDIT: or I should've said against CPU, balks don't have much effect other than annoying yourself. If you play against HUM offline, then what I wrote about online would hold..

What in the heck is the gameplay inquiry thread doing on the second page?

Anyway, I wanted to get a little more expansion on batting with the Move, specifically with handedness.

If you choose to bat right-handed only, will all of your batters just bat right-handed? If so, wouldn't that throw off their tendencies and hold/cold zones, etc.? If not, is it... weird to bat righty with a lefty at the plate?

And is there an option for switch-hitters like myself? I would very much like to bat left-handed with lefties up there, and right-handed for righties. I know this won't be that great when it comes to pitching lol, but if you happen to get the scoop on this, that would be fantastic!

In regards to Move (Hitting), you can swing however you'd like - it's completely up to you. If you want to mimic who's up at the plate (swing lefty for a lefty hitter) you can certainly do that but it doesn't matter.

The option is totally up to you.

Biggest question about move for me is, is it just timing or does swinging high = high swing etc...

So if you decidedly just rotate your body as if you want to be left-handed, the game will just flip the batter to the other side of the plate?

                                Flip the batter? No.

I said it doesn't matter whether you choose to swing Lefty or Righty regardless of who's up - that's up to you to decide.
